I want to make an animation of him playing that and a keyboard synth at the same time

I should honestly do a cosplay video on this idea tbh, I have a MIDI keyboard with a full drum pad on it

If he isn't good with computers, would he be good with this?

Even though it is an electronic item

I defend electronic music (especially trance, house and hands up) a lot* because it means *a lot to me, and it is so bouncy, energetic and fun, and very happy and cheerful, which is the kind of energy that I have, which also matches a lot of characters I like.

Plus, I live in a club driven and rave driven country (the UK) and my dad is a hobbyist DJ who likes to make really good mixes for himself and has helped me get into it.

Growing up in a country in Europe, where electronic music is mainstream everywhere, I have heard lots of dance music on the charts which is not usually common outside of Europe apart from what I call the "EDM boom" of the late 2000's to the mid 2010's, when pop artists started making so many house and trance style tracks that entered the charts, even outside of Europe.

However, trance music was once mainstream here in Europe until the early 2010's alongside "hands up" which makes me really nostalgic. This music is what sparked my true passion in electronic music. I remember listening to Clubland CD's in the car and beatboxing "doof doof doof doof" to myself when I was very little.

I also knew about software like FL Studio (which was my first DAW that I still use today) and I wanted to learn how to make music so I studied music in secondary school. I can play on many instruments, not just synths and keys or electronic drums. I've always wanted to bring trance and hands up back from the underground and into the mainstream again.

I found out that "doof doof" beat was actually called the "four on the floor" beat. I passed my music GCSE's by making a vocal trance song that I composed and wrote myself, recording that bouncy kick drum in real time while counting the beats "1, 2, 3, 4" in my head and all the other presets too on GarageBand, as that was the DAW we used to make music in secondaryschool.

If anyone wants to hear the song I made that brought me to where I am today, please let me know, it is called "My Destiny".
