Princess Kairi 9494 0 Posted December 23, 2010 Does anyone else feel like they should've kept the KH series to just PS2 sometimes instead of putting them on different consoles? I am a die hard kingdom hearts fan and I want to play every game and own them before I die. I don't own a psp so I can't play Birth By Sleep, and if KH3 is on PSP or PS3 I'm SOL. and ik some ppl would just say save your money, but I'm a junior in high school, i need to save my money for other things like a car, gas, all of my senior things for next year, and college. thoughts please? Keyblader 325 Posted December 23, 2010 Well, not so much one console, just keep it within a few systems rather than spreading them out so vastly. I do understand why, it's done as a marketing technique and also due to the developers wanting to take advantage of certain features of certain systems. I just read your full post, and I'm a Junior too! Lol, but I can't drive, ugh.
Princess Kairi 9494 0 Posted December 23, 2010 it's just a pain. like i said i don't have the kind of money to spare right now so my only option is to borrow is from someone. i watched all the cut scenes online, but it's just not the same as actually experiencing the game. DragonMaster 1,166 Posted December 23, 2010 Hasn't really been a problem to me since I owned all of the consoles they have been on before hand, excluding the PSP. I was already planning on getting a 3DS, so KH 3D was just the icing on the cake. So for me it hasn't really been a problem, though I have notice people complain about it. Really all you need to play all the KH games thus far is a PS2 (KH, KH II, Re:CoM), a PSP (BbS) and a 3DS (358/2 Days, Re:coded, 3D). However, that is about $500-600 worth of console depending on when each console was bought, so I can see where the people who complain are coming from. But, if you've been into other systems before this, chances are, you will have purchased other consoles, like me, I purchased a Ds Lite, then a Dsi, a transition I regret, because it wasn't worth the extra money to me. And now I will have to pay EVEN MORE for the 3DS, which makes this whole situation worse. I will be able to buy a PSP soon though and finally play BBS. Sora96 17,256 Posted December 23, 2010 They can't. It would have taken a lot longer to make the games. At this rate we would still be waiting on 358/2 Days and/or coded.

How would it have taken longer? The reason it took so long for Days and BbS is because they had to experiment with the new systems. If they were on the same, they would already have the experience with it so it would take less time. Personally I think it would be better if they kept to the same two, either PS2 or PS3 for the main games (BbS, KH, KHII), and PSP for the interlude games (CoM, Days, coded). They can't work on two or three PS2 Games at once. Thats why. And the fact the PS2 was dieing during the time they made and released these games. Noumra said they had planned on releasing Birth by Sleep on the PS2 but with the fact the PS2 was dieing. They couldn't risk it.
mono tune 0 Posted December 23, 2010 It is so frustrating actually. KH games that I only played so far is KH, KH2, and BBS. My family doesn't want to buy any expensive consoles nowadays with the unbalanced economy of the world.
FireVentus 20 Posted December 23, 2010 I'm a freshman I have the same probs because I'm saving for a car already because I think of not having the money in the future.I have a 360 and if they place the game on the ps3 then I don't know what I do.I hope se might think a litte and place the next games on more than one console like the previous games. That story is awfully the same as mine because my ds broke on its fourth year around 1 year the dsi was released so I saved my money to get it as a replacement for the damaged system. Now the 3ds. J. Severe 1,137 Posted December 23, 2010 Yes, I'm in the same boat, too. I'd very much like Birth by Sleep; that game keeps getting more awesome with every video I see! However, with a limited amount of money and needs for a 3DS and a PS3, that will have to wait, for I don't have a PSP - unless I find a $200 bill on the ground, with which I can get that fancy Gamestop BbS/PSP bundle. Pandora333 48 Posted December 23, 2010 I think that developers do this in order to reach new audiences and earn more fans. Also you dont need to buy all consoles for playing all the games, you only need to organize and be conscious about your money and what can you afford and what not. Also, who said that you NEED to buy it? Why dont you borrow the console from a friend or something? that
khforever999 3 Posted December 23, 2010 i think its bull**** what they keep doin wit da consiles but hears how u save some cash not alot just a little dont buy a dsi and gameboy you dont need to have to have re:CoM and CoM and 358/2 days is a waste of time and money it just tells you what u allready know
Tails 6,690 Posted December 23, 2010 If you all must know, it's because of business. SE are putting different KH consoles on different consoles so that people that are new to the series can be introduced into KH and make SE more popular. It also has to do with money, since the PS2 is pretty much dead, they have moved on to the PSP and DS, and they want to make as much money as possible with consoles that are popular and fresh, especially the DS in this case since it's the most popular handheld worldwide.
