FireStorm 162 23 Posted February 4, 2011 Short story mode starts at level 20, and you can't level up, so I can't quite understand how the level can be carried over.... Regardless, great news! Can't wait to play it in English! I believe you just confused yourself, the level 20 part is for the demo aka, the short story mode. The level transfer is for the actual Dissidia to Duodecim, not Dissidia to Demo lol
Hige Unari 5 Posted February 4, 2011 Dude It looks awesome! Too bad Tidus is on chaos I love him. But that was a rather petty move. But I don't mind him being shirtless lol. Does he only use blitzballs though? And he doesn't remember yuna right?
FireStorm 162 23 Posted February 4, 2011 He isn't on Chaos coz Jecht is, that would be petty, the story is, if a person is new to the wars (aka, Dissidia world) they have no memory of their previous world, and Tidus is new, so he doesn't remember Yuna or Jecht, and he got "brainwashed", or at least that's what Dissidiaforums has so far on that whole sha-bangabang

I'd feel cheap playing the game so early with level 100 characters D:

CardCaptorDeadpool 386 Posted February 11, 2011 [constructiveBUMP] Its been like a week and theres a shiz load of news my peeps!!! Like a description of Prische who I believe with Gilgamesh are bonus characters. Dont quote me mind!! Also a link to the frankly fantastic cover for duodecim! Yuna looks beautiful in it I fear I redevelop my teenage crush on her!! Plus I may also develop a man crush on Tidus too he looks fantastic and eveil in that dark light!! http://www.siliconera.com/2011/02/10/dissidia-012duodecim-final-fantasys-box-art-is-a-bit-busy/ And heres something you guys will really like. English gameplay in english of Vaan, Yuna and Laguna's EX Bursts. wr7DM-sBPcE&feature=player_embedded Seeing To the Farplane (which sounds similar to sephiroth's battle cry) this close is just gorgeous also did I forget to mention how beautiful Yuna looked in it? Axtwyt 500 Posted February 11, 2011 Just for the record, Laguna sounds younger than I was expecting, Vaan sounds older (but still good), and Yuna sounds weird. Yes, I realize that Square sucks at picking voiceovers for Yuna, but even those actors make this seem different than the Yuna I know.

And it definitely sounds like she's still voicing Yuna.

How does she remember jecht? Because this is the 12TH WAR. A prequel, and possibly Tidus' first war. Yuna has been there for a few wars, so she regained her memories, she's just not in the 13th war. Basically, Tidus is new, Yuna is not. Tidus forgets stuff, Yuna does not. Tidus is an idiot who doesn't remember things, Yuna is not. I could keep going on with these crappy "Yuna is not" things, but it's gotten boring. And I saw that subtitled video, looks awesome
CardCaptorDeadpool 386 Posted February 14, 2011 Not really news but I just wanna get convo going!! So I kinda want to speculate some of the story based off wat we know so far. So SE say the story should take 15 hours with it being similar to Dissidia 1 that each of the 6 new guys have stories that take up to 2 hours. And Im assuming there'll be like a Shade impulse in there afterwards. Now since theres like 28 characters in the game with the perspective possibly focussing on the 6 the most the other WoC will have less limelight but should probably have the same screen time interacting with the 6 in the way they did during the original in each others stories! Im also assuming the WoC will each have their own moments against their counterpart again but briefly and probably not twice! One more thing Im hoping and assuming will happen is that since the 6's stories are most likely more focussed the story might hopefully be more refined, seeming that its going to explain their most likely tragic roles by the end
FireStorm 162 23 Posted February 14, 2011 *30 characters so far, 22 originals + the 8 newbies Well, it'll go a lot faster IMO for each character, since they're in groups this time, not chessboard playstyle, so it'll be more in less time. But I don't get how the normal Dissidia will take 45 hours (that was actually confirmed for the 45 hours thing), seems like way too much for a game that only took like 20 hours at most in the slow playstyle...... I'm kinda new to Dissidia cause I don't have a PSP and cause 012 is coming out I thought I would learn abou tit. Sorry for arguing with you firestorm! Sorry I know theres 30 but I've heard Gilgamesh & Prische are like Gabranth & Shanttoto were in the first one. Well seeming since in the original story with duodecim levels will still require the 10 characters story which does take a good while with leveling then shade impulse which takes just as long since you'll need to level up to 40 or 50 to Win. FireStorm 162 23 Posted February 16, 2011 Actually, I found it very easy to beat Shade Impulse, Chaos was a pushover there, then came Inward Chaos *shudder* I beat him, but I can only beat him with one character without trouble Technically you can level up to like level 50 in about an hour or two, just Level 100 Exdeath spam

FireStorm 162 23 Posted February 22, 2011 huh, annoying and bad news here; Nomura said in an interview that the next game won't have the same style, meaning it probably won't be a fighter D: (that was the best part of Dissidia ) Yeah, there's most likely going to be another Dissidia game, but not in the same style as the two Dissidia games so far........... unhappy face of firestorm -->
Iamkingdomhearts1000 1,170 Posted February 22, 2011 even though i know they are not appearing in duodecim but still awesome to think about here's who i vote for personally FF I 1-the red mage of light: a warrior of cosmos bio: a self proclaimed ladies's man he seems to the warrior of light all too well...and what his motives are. FF II 2-leon: a warrior of cosmos/chaos bio: like kain, is torn between sides. FF III 3-the female onion knight (refia): a warrior of cosmos FF VI 4-shadow: a warrior of chaos FF IX 5-steiner: a warrior of cosmos FF XIII 6-cid raines: a warrior of cosmos/chaos who do you think personally? (and i'll do the rest of the bios later)

Maybe this means team fighting, or an all-out war like in the intro cutscenes. Either way, at least Dissidia isn't gone for good; just in its current form.
