I just don't think they need them tbh

The world's are self contained enough, and, even the biggest world's it's easy enough to find your way around. Kingdom Hearts isn't an "open world" game they just have big levels too

That's fair. I wonder if KH4 might feature bigger worlds though, or maybe even some open world elements in the city. But I definitely agree for the past games, fast travel wouldn't really be neccesary there.

It feels to me like KH is moving in a direction of "less world's/bigger worlds" so that is a possibility
