Hard to say- Quadratum is so different from premises in the past, and as far as the story is concerned most things are wrapped up, meaning they can only add now, you know? Like Chi was around before 3, and, all of the stuff from Chi to 3 got mostly tied up.

World wise is hard too, since I'm not sure how Sora would get to other worlds if he even does at all.

Honestly I don’t think KH is going to win any new fans at this point unless this new story arc goes out of its way to make itself super accessible to newcomers. And I’m not even sure how that would happen.

If newcomers want to play the game, they can easily buy the All in One package for a cheap price and play them to understand the story

technically they can write KH4 in a way where the previous games don't really matter. give a short recap of KH3's ending. Power of Waking might be still relevant so they can use it in KH4's plot. Concepts like heartless, nobodies and unversed should no longer matter. A new player doesn't really need to understand how heartless or nobodies work. They only need to know that they are the bad guys
