Lead Me to the S k y ? {RolePlay}

Recommended Posts

Sophie sighed, following after the two. "Yeah," She agreed half-heartedly. Momentarily, her mind was elsewhere. Was that girl inside? Even more pressing--was her mother? Was this what happened to everyone when they died? They grew wings, became invisible, and, in a way, kept on living? Was her dad alright? Surely he must've figured out something was amiss by now. Did.. did they find her.. body?

"Let's just hurry up," She struggled to distract herself. Afraid, but propelled by the hope of finding her mother, she took the lead.

The girl recovered quickly. For all Hunter knew, he was born to be a brother. He would never know though. He was dead, his father was dead and his mother was mostly likely dead or in someone's bed. He was proud of himself for having gotten rid of even just a little bit of Sophie's worry. She even took the lead. Of course, Hunter couldn't allow this.

"Yeah, just follow me." Like he guessed, it wasn't a chore to get inside. Almost if whoever was here was inviting them inside.

When they reached the building, it wasn't a hassle to get inside. Of course, that could be just as much of a bad sign as a good one. The thirteen-year-old stopped just inside the doorway, glancing around. Somehow, Sophie'd so set her mind that she'd see one of two things, that when she realized the hall was empty, she was disappointed. Then again, one option had been her mother, but the other had been that creepy Sunbreaker girl.

"Do you think it's deserted?" Sophie murmered, and without waiting for an answer, called out tentatively. "Hello? Is anyone here?"

Echo looked around, it was deserted. Then she saw something, "A door. . . let's go in!" she said will full confidence. She walked on ahead in front of them towards the door.

Jakob replied," I choose the one on the right!"

The man walked towards the right. He grunted.

"No...not that one..."the man said.

"I must!" Jakob yelled.

He dashed towards the door with green paint peeling off, with a golden door nob. It opened with a white flash.

"I did not do that..." said the man.

"Sh-shut up!"

Jakob walked into the lifeless door. The man rushed and closed it. Jakob fell...and fell....and fell...and fell. Until he hit solid gravel.

"OWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"He yelled.

Jakob noticed his left arm was bleeding. He felt like he was mutilated, but his body was whole. His feet were broken.

"I thought....I was...an...angel...." he thought. He saw a shooting star, with it's beautiful colors, rushing through the sky...

" I wish...I was normal again...a skylight...home..."he whispered, closing his eyes. Jakob fell asleep, then awoke, in an unknown city.

"I'm...in..Sky Light's Base..."he cried.

"Hey, slow down! We don't wanna set off any alarms if there are any." Hunter was still being careful. Even though he said he could take whoever was in here on, he wasn't actually sure if he could. It'd be smarter to play it safe.

"There has to be someone in here that knows what the hell is going on," he muttered to himself.

Sophie started forward slowly. The ceiling reached at least fifty feet into the air, and sparkling crystal chandeliers hung from it. "Whoever built this place sure was rich." She breathed. Their footsteps echoed in the long, empty hallway. It was sort of eerie, but Sophie wasn't bugged by it, distracted as she was by their surroundings.

"I don't think anyone is here," She murmered. "It seems well-kept, but deserted at the same time. If someone were here, with a hallway of this size, wouldn't we hear their voice or footsteps echo?"

Jakob walked...and walked....he was in the clouds...

"Is this a dream???"he asked.

It echoed.

"CAN ANYONE HEAR MEEE????" he yelled.

Jakob jumped down. He released his wings like releasing a balloon off your hands. He started to fly as fast as he can.

His eyes were closing with water and fear. He started to fall asleep.

He fell again, but on the clouds. His landing echoed in the whole kingdom.

"I need to....follow...that...." he grunted.

He ran up the ramp and jumped. He released his wings once again and turned into a hawk. He flew away, leaving the kingdom behind...

Echo turned to Sophie "Good point. Hmmmm . . . I'll go through the door okay?" she smiled hopefully at Sophie and Hunter and walked through. Then she saw people, they looked peaceful too. "Hey guys, I think it is safe. . . " she said to them

Jakob saw a building. He exited out of his hawk form. The building had light shining from it.

"I'll go there," he thought.

He entered through the window, barley making it and to see Echo, Hunter, and Sophie.

"Uhmmm, guys...what are you doing here?"

Sophie nearly jumped out of her skin when a voice spoke. "Um, guys.. what are you doing here?" She froze, glancing around. The only way someone could be noticing them was if they could see them. But who could see them? A moment of panic filled Sophie, before she reminded herself it was a boy's voice, therefore it couldn't be the Sunbreaker girl. Or her mother.

Honestly, she had no idea how to answer his question. Let's see.. So, I was murdered in the woods, I sprouted wings, met two other kids with wings, and walked in here.. Instead, she answered with another question. "W-Who are you?"

Another voice. People were popping out of everywhere. Dead people. There was no other explanation at this point.

Both of the girls immediately looked over to the source of the voice, a boy from what Hunter heard, but Hunter looked around the hallway once more, to make sure it wasn't an ambush of some sort.

"We could ask you the same thing," Hunter finally said to the boy. "I'd like to know who you are and why are you here. And if you have any idea what the hell is going on."

Aleksander had journeyed back into his room after spending some time on the rooftop of the Sunbreaker base. He changed into something more comfortable, a tshirt (male), and some loose fitting jeans.

He went downstairs to the main room of the base, the room feeling completely empty seeing as it was so grand and big.

He took a seat on the couch, opening up a book that he brought along to read, knowing he'd get bored. He would've read in his room, but that felt so isolated. It was clausterphobic in there.

He turned the page, getting a small paper cut, and muttering a curse word in Russian.

"Chyort voz'mi!"

Echo looked around, "Hunter, don't be so mean. He doesn't look like a threat too me. Plus, it's 3 on 1 anyway, right?"

Still she wasn't even sure if they were gonna fight. She knew she was, and are they safe? Are they dead? She looked down at Sophie, how she reminded her off Mary. . .

Mary.

Mary!

Is she here?!

"Also, everyone have you seen a short girl with blond curly hair and green eyes?!" she asked, sounding quite desperate. She needed too see Mary again.

"I was about to ask the same question, so called 'Hunter'." Jakob said.

"I'm a skylight," he said.

Jakob's wings sprouted out of his back and smiled.

"I- I need to find my friends..." he said.

He looked out at the broken window. A tear dripped through his eyes.

" Can y-o-you help me???" he asked.

Echo looked at the poor boy. He was alone, and looking for somebody just like her.

"We don't know what a Skylight is. The only people we've seen you are looking at them."

Echo turned away from everybody and looked at the window.

I thought if he killed me, I'd see her again. I thought. . . I'd be with her. Not alone.

Sophie suspicious subsided. She felt sort of bad for the boy. He sounded pretty upset--though she guessed she could relate. "I'm sorry.." Sophie murmered. "Of-Of course we can help. Not sure how much, though. As you can see," She smiled faintly. "We're pretty lost, too. And what are these Skylight things?"

BTW, "Skylight" is capitol, guys, l0l/

Tyler stomped from his room. He didn't care what any of these people--er, whatever they were now--had to say. He could take care of himself. All the others meant nothing to him. They were beneath him. None of them even seemed to see any use in constantly using their powers. He, of course, was quite content in using his constantly. Of course, they were nothing special. All of the Sunbreakers were able to perform the same talent of controlling darkness.

Tossing his gum on the floor without a second glance, he marched himself to the main room. Maybe it'd be empty. That's what he'd like--some sweet, peace and quiet. He acted hostile towards his fellow Sunbreakers, but he didn't hate them. No, 'tolerated' would probably be a better term.

Instead of the place being deserted, though, a boy sat on a sofa. He'd seen him before--didn't know him, but all the same. He was new--but weren't all of them? He was reading a book, and cussed under his breath at something.

Echo sighed. Her answers were never going to be answered huh? She turned around, she saw someone. S hsort girl with curly blond hair. Could it be . . .? M-Mary? No . . . after all this time she didn't want to be here. She didn't want to face her. How could she? I let her die. she kept on thinking. Then she ran. Ran away as far as she can from the girl who COULD be Mary. Running wasn't so bad, she liked it actually.

She heard pouding footsteps pound away down the hallway. Sophie pulled her gaze from the boy, and to Echo, who was sprinting away from them as quickly as her legs would carry her. "H-Hey!" Sophie shouted. "Echo! Wait! We're all supposed to stick together! Where are you even going!?" Whether Echo heard her or not, it didn't seem to matter. She turned to the boy who'd appeared and Hunter. "Should-should we go after her?" She asked timidly.

A presence, unfamiliar to Aleksander filled the room. It was one person, a boy. He didn't remember if he met him or not.

"Excuse my language," Aleksander apologized, remembering he just cussed in front of someone which was not like him. Of course the other guy probably didn't know what it meant, but still Aleksander had to apologize. He set his book down next to him and crossed his legs. "And you are?"

Skylights. Sounded professional like. Like some undercovered super agent group kind of deal. The other boy had wings just like the little group of three. Maybe they were a part of these so called Skylights and they didn't know it?

"I haven't seen any--" Hunter stopped midsentence as Echo suddenly started to run, following someone or something.

"Dammit, where is she going?!" he asked himself. So much for staying together.

Hunter sighed, tugging his hair in frustration.

"She probably went off chasing someone. Maybe that little girl she mentioned?" Hunter shrugged. He turned back to the boy and repeated Sophie's question. "What's a Skylight?"

Mary looked over to a bunch of people all huddled. She heard a name, being called, it was only an echo. She walked over to them and smiled. "Hello, I am Mary. Are you guys newcomers?"

Echo stopped. They needed to stick together. So she started to turn back with her head down.

Tee hee xP pun intended

Jakob hesitated.

"I can't explain..." he said.

He remembered his leukemia. He remembered everything. Starting from the gates of heaven, to the pits of hell.

" Let's follow her!" yelled Jakob.

He ran towards Echo, hoping that the others would follow. He disguised himself as a dog and ran towards her.

"Why..." he whispered.

He got out of his form, to see himself in a white background. It was beautiful. There was music playing, fountains with water, going down like a waterfall.

"Wher-" Jakob was interrupted.

"Don't Talk." said a disturbing voice. It was almost like a whisper.

Sophie started after Echo. What if she got hurt or something? Who was she chasing, anyway? It might not even be the girl she'd described before. Plenty of girls fit that description. Sophie bit her lip. "I think we can figure this stuff out later. Shouldn't we go after her? We don't know what's here. How do we know how safe it is?"

I have wings and I'm thinking about how safe it is to break into some building.. What's wrong with me? Shouldn't I be more worried about what the heck's going on?

He snapped rudely. "Tyler Downs. Get off my case," Tyler grumbled, plopping down on the sofa farthest from the other boy. Social interaction wasn't his thing without his best friend. And he didn't plan on making any new best friends, either.

"Stupid Russians," He muttered. "Stupid EVERYONE. Don't care where they're from. Hate 'em all," Tyler turned himself so he faced the wall. "I don't need any of you people."

Beautiful music went on.

We sing to you our lovely clues....

They show you destiny one more too...

Just leave us to do the job...

We will follow you if you follow me...

Your friends of all the high are here...

He's locked up here and longing for you....

He wants you to come but you are just....

A Skylight with a little life...

We will give you back...

Your misery...

Will will make you torture your friends....

But what you don't want is....

"Continue it! I demand it to continue!" Jakob yelled.

Trruuucceee....

"Truce? What does that mean?" he asked.

He realized he was alone.

"I want to get out of here...." he whispered. A black flash swallowed him, and he fell in a room. He was back in the building.

"SOMEONE HELP!!!!" he yelled.

We will follow you if you follow me

"Uh....." he said.

He collapsed.

Echo turned back and saw Sophie. She looked so worried, how could she run off. She looked up and ran back when she got there she was running out of breath "I-I-I'm sorry, I though I sa-" she looked at the girl. Blond hair. Her EXACT eyes. "M-Mary. . .?" she asked.

Mary looked. No. She. Echo. Couldn't. Be. Dead? What?! How?! Why?! When? No.

Mary shook her head, it felt like it might spin off "Echo. You can't be dead. No!"

Echo looked at her "Mary!" she exclaimed

The other guy took off, Hunter not planning to follow. No he was not moving. Not until he got an explanation of why he wasn't in Heaven with his father and why he had wings.

Like he expected (not), Echo came back, after a little girl came by, asking Sophie and Hunter if they were knew. He had shook his head in response and when Echo came back, they exclaimed each others name, immediate recognition and suprise.

"You know each other...?"

Aleksander pursed his lips in disapproval, offended and a little angry. Not only did the boy, Tyler, just snap at him for no reason, he insulted the Russian boy. And just people in general. What was the boys deal?

"Ostyn'. Calm down. Didn't anyone teach you not to be rude to strangers? First impressions are everything in this world, dead or not."
