What happens when the world ends? A group of teens find out. Heaven isn't as beautiful as it's made up to be--it's ravaged by war and lies. They were taken away from their lives to help defeat the "evil". Their bodies live and breathe, but are empty shells. The real souls of the teens are in the sky, told they need to fight and win if they ever want to live again.

Outfitted as angels with wings and golden armor, these angels, the "Skylights", are outmatched, and they know it. The Skylights have but one power, while their enemies one as well, but are numerous. Yet these teenagers will have to defeat the evil "Sunbreakers", if they ever plan on making it home. If they don't make it, the only other option is to suffer in Hell for eternity. [/align]

Though it isn't fasionable like Sophie tries to seem, she's never taken off a worn golden locket around her neck--the only thing she had to remember her mother.

Appearance: Sebastian is short and fairly skinny, but people can usually tell his true age by looking into his eyes (ignoring the fact that that's pretty much a textbook Gary-Stu trait ). He has a large scar going from the base of his neck to his forehead, which also detracts from his "cutesy" appearance. And black cloaks and high-heeled boots are his preferred clothing, thank you very much.

Bio: He was murdered in a gang fight when he was 14, and, from there, worked as a Skylight for 2 more years. He was taken during a raid by a member of the Sunbreakers, and was forced to join them, though he eventually realized that he preferred being a Sunbreaker to being a Skylight anyways. ((Is that allowed? in case you can't tell, I'm making this up completely as I go along.))

Appearance: Hunter is skinny - underweight - with long lanky arms and legs. He has golden brown, sort of straight hair, than gets sunbleached during the summer, and it is just barely above his ears, expected to grow longer and longer because he doesn't care to cut it. His eyes are dark gray with almost unnoticeable spots of emerald green, bags under his eyes from stress and lack of sleep. He has fair skin but is easily sunburned, turning red almost instantly. He has burn marks on his back from the house fire. He usually wears long sleeves and sunglasses for these reasons, with occasional worn out cap.

 

Bio: Hunter was very sickly as a child, therefore being weak and tired most of the time, either sleeping all day or not sleeping at all. He was raised by his alcoholic dad, who suprisingly took very good care of him, paying his hospital fees for the times he had dangerous fevers or broke a bone and sending him to school, getting him the best tutor he could because Hunter wasn't very bright. His mom was a "good for nothing whore" as his dad liked to say, who appeared on his dad's door step with Hunter and said "Take your damn kid, he's not worth taking care of," and left.

Although he wasn't very smart in many things, he had a wide vocabulary from reading so much because his dad had a bookcase filled with books from when he was younger.

His dad died young from a drug overdose when Hunter was 14 and he paid for the funeral arrangements himself from the money he made working part time.

He 'accidently' burned down his old house and thought to have died in the fire itself, and since then has been sort of a pyromaniac, but he seems to have gotten it under control after becoming a Skylight.

 

Wing Color: Dark blue almost black

 

Special Power: He can conjure up fire, any from just the weak red fire to the hot white flames, the latter being more dangerous and energy draining.

A boy of medium height, with milk white, spiky hair that goes no lower than his neck, storm gray eyes, and light skin.

Normal clothes consists of a red and black flannel shirt, a beanie with a middle finger on the middle of it, black jeans, and red Vans.

 

Military clothing consists of a red skintight battle suit, with black patters all over the suit, black gloves, a utility belt, and black boots.

 

Special Power: Taiyo is able to harness light from the sun and the moon and turn it into energy for himself. He can use this energy by either gaining strength by it, or he can physically manipulate it into a weapon.

 

Biography: Born in Japan, Taiyo was raised by two parents who worked as government agents. They moved to Russia, fed up with the Japanese government, and they joined the Soviet Union. However, the Japanese government did not like this traitorous movement, so they rigged bombs in Taiyo's home in the mountains and blew them up, taking all three lives. Waking up in Purgatory, Taiyo was taken in by Sunbreakers, who promised him salvation and a new family if he joined them.

Name: Aleksander Chzov

Hometown: Moscow, Russia

 

Skylight or Sunbreaker?: Sunbreaker

 

Appearance: He has pale blonde long hair that reaches the middle of his back and pale blue, sharp eyes. He's tall, about average in weight and has fair skin. He's usually found wearing gray, since it's his favorite color and his clothes are a mixture of feminine blouses and shirts and a couple of more fitting t-shirts, shorts and jeans. His hair is usually kept neat and tidy, with not a hair sticking up or being out of place and sometimes put in a ponytail.

He chooses to wear what he wants with the Sunbreakers, breaking most of their rules and ect., but having no punishment whatsoever. Although, when he was in the mood, he'd consider wearing the standard uniform in order to blend in and not look so obvious, which was already happening due to his height.

 

Bio: Aleksander is Russian, although one of his great grandparents was from German descent. He lived with both of his parents in a tiny house. His mother was caring and affectionate, never yelling at Aleksander and teaching him that he should be kind to others no matter what. His father was absent most of the time, having to work and going on buisness trips and such.

Aleksander found out his father was sleeping with another girl as young as 16 and when he confronted him about it, he was slapped in the face.

He and his mother left and lived in a cheap, rundown apartment for one year until his mom was killed by an aneurysm.

He returned to his father, who begged to be forgiven, and reluctantly Aleksander forgave him, but still distrusts him.

Without having a mother for four years, from ages fourteen and eighteen, Aleksander stopped being kind and caring like his mother taught him and instead adopted some traits of his father, some good, some bad. Eventually he decided to be on his own.

There was one thing though. When Aleksander's mother was the main role in his upbringing, she treated him very much like a daughter, therefore Aleksander was led to believe he was a girl. When he went back with his father, his dad scolded him for being so feminine and tried to man him up. He is unsure if he is a female or male, therefore gender confused.

 

Special Power: Invisibility. He can be completely see through for seconds at a time during the day and for full hours at night.

Appearance: His face looked as if it were painted on: unchanging, caramel eyes glazed over with apathy. The only time his expression would change from the usual slack mouth and mirror-like eyes, was when someone would mistake him for his twin. Then, his eyes would spark with slight anger, eyes darkening ever so slightly. His barely changing expression has an awkward look on his face, due to his baby face that never thinned out through puberty. His mousy hair is neatly kept, bangs combed away from his face, tucked behind his ears. Like the rest of his family, he carried the smooth olive skin tone, sign of a true Italian. From the multiple years of sports, Giovanni has a lean build, but the muscles look awkward on his short size. In the life of the living, his clothing consisted of fine tailored suits, dress pants, blazers, shirts and ties.

 

With the Skybreaker army, he wore one of the more common outfits, trying to blend in as much as possible. He was clad in a tan tunic, slightly baggy over his build, with matching brown trousers. Giovanni was also able to 'grow' a few inches with the brown boots that barely reached to his knees. There are chest-plates covering his torso, and gauntlets protecting his lower arms.

 

Bio: People think that having a twin is all that and more. Whoever said that was obviously wrong. Friends, and even family, never know who is who, and you never know if you're really yourself. "What if mother and father mixed our names up when we were babies?" "Then I'd be you, and you'd be me. That's no real difference than to our situation now." Those words were common during their childhood. Giovanni was the eldest of the De Luka twins, his younger brother Vincent almost the exact mirror image. They stayed by each others' sides as children, and grew up in the same place. The two were forced into a life of athletics --to try and add muscle onto their scrawny bodies. Together, they were popular among the others in their school, but no one could ever really tell them apart. Giovanni grew to accept that no one could ever really tell who was Vincent, and who was he. Because of this, for the remaining years of his teen life, he had a rather dull outlook on life. When the Armageddon happened, he wasn't interested in joining the Skylights. After all, they were about the 'common good' and whatnot. He saw no reason to help the common good, and joined the Sunbreakers' army.

 

Special Power: He is able to control other people as if they were puppets. When people are under his control he can not tap into their powers, only have them use physical force. This power remains intact as long as he isn't hit.

Appearance: At the first glance, Vincent was the exact replica of his brother, Giovanni. Same neatly kept hair: the same hair that reached the part where neck met the skull. Same Same olive toned skin: one from inheritance, not tanning. Same accent that seemed to roll r's and bounce with the vowels: an accent that got so annoying to speak in when foreigners would ask you to repeat what you said. Same short stature: one that was useful in swiftness and agility. Everything was the same.... right? Wrong. The only difference was the eyes. While Giovanni's eyes flickered with anger and annoyance. Vincent's flickered with amusement. To him, it was a game if people could guess the differences between them. To him, when people got frustrated over the whole, "identical twin thing" he was giddy on the inside. If they were playing a game, he could use his brother as a scapegoat. They didn't differ in build, or in height --actually Vincent was only a tiny bit shorter than Giovanni, but it was hardly noticeable. To him, the 'identical twin thing' was nothing more than a quick laugh every once and a while.

 

Once they got with the Sunbreakers, he followed his brother's example of wearing a common uniform. Tunic, trousers, boots, chest plate and gauntlets.

 

Bio: Born into a rich family, Vincent didn't have a very hard life. His studies came naturally to him, eventually learning how to speak other languages. He and his brother knew their native tongue --Italian--, English, Spanish, French, and German. They prefer to speak in Italian, but were forced to speak English once with the Sunbreakers. That was what he hated, because people would often stop and ask them to say any random phrase, only wanting to hear their accents. Vincent guessed those people were Americans. Before their time in the afterlife, they were generally well-liked. They excelled in sports, making their prep school the best in the country, and they were at the top of their class. Vincent could feel the agitation that seeped off of his brother in clumps when they were often confused for the other. That anger fed his sadistic amusement. When the time came to die at the end of the world, he happily followed his brother to the Sunbreakers.

 

Special Power: He is able to copy the powers that another wields. However, the copied power grows considerably weaker over time, and he can only copy one power at a time.

Appearance: Pale, lanky and scrawny, he stands at far past six foot, taller than average, especially considering how at his age he could still have grown. He has dull green-hazel-brown eyes, the somewhat grungy and unattractive shade of a muddy puddle, and thick ginger hair that flies madly around his face, always untamed. A smattering of freckles dust across his cheeks and nose, as well as up his arms. Will dresses in a way that indicates he just throws on whatever comes to hand- loose, baggy clothes: flannel shirts and ruined jeans. It often doesn't fit him, since he only bought for his height, and the clothes of a full grown adult are hugely baggy on him, since he is the furthest thing from filled out to start with.

Bio (optional): Iko Chan was named after his grandfather. He lived a good life with many friends but suffered the cancer, leukemia. He then died and the skylights let him have a better life, feeling sorry and promised him no cancer.

Appearance (description, please): Standing at 5'6, Tyler is abnormally skinny for such a height. His dark brown hair is styled so it's not long, but it's not half-shaven off, either. Surprisingly sweet-looking, the German-decent boy is anything but.

 

Bio (optional): Growing up in the bustling town of Dallas, Tyler was used to being ignored. Through school, he was always bullied, but he brushed it off. When he hit high school, though, it became impossible. There were endless threats, taunts, and fights. It seemed as if he were on the verge of being expelled, before Joshua Thomas. Josh was one of the most popular boys in school, but instead of being cruel to Tyler as the others were, he befriended him. The bullying stopped practically instantly, and Tyler started to take after Joshua. Soon a player and popular himself, he'd gone from having nothing to having it all. Until he went to the party. Until he pushed one person to for. Before he got himself shot.

Appearance: Dark skin and jet black hair usually kept with a bang to the left side and in a neat sideways ponytail. At a height of 5'10, Destiny is tall and lanky usually wearing a a blue tank top and plain blue jeans. And an occasional black and red plaid jacket.

Bio: Destiny had a pretty good life. Good grades, happy family and was great at basketball. But, one thing was off about her, something she didn't tell anyone who didn't already know. It was about her brother, Josh. He had hemophilia. So, he stayed home a lot, in fact he didn't go outside at all. He did everything in that house. But even so, they were a happy family. That is until josh started bleeding. When that happened everything crumbled, everyone scared, and everyone panicked. One day when Josh's bleeding was at it's worst, Destiny hurried herself to the hospital crossing the street not paying attention to anyone or anything. A car honked. As she turned toward the honking she felt her body go flying into the concrete. Blood oozed out of her body and she felt numb. As her eyes slowly closed the last thing on Destiny's mind was Josh. Destiny chose to be skylight because she thought she could maybe see her family that way. And if Josh didn't make it, he would wouldn't want to be a sunbreaker, right?
