Namine and the Keyblade.

Recommended Posts

This is pretty much a moot point seeing as how shes already rejoined with Kairi but, even though she didn't have her own (since Kairi didn't) shouldn't Namine technically being Kairi's Nobody, have at least been able to USE a Keyblade if someone had let her borrow theirs? Just a thought.

*edit* could a mod please move this to the Kingdom Hearts General thread.

Namine was a special case, and Kairi's keyblade is a keyblade of heart. This being the case, namine's power was over memories which is closely attatched to the persons heart. So: in a sence namini in no way needed the power of the keyblade, but namine had the power over hearts anyways.

I know, I just thought she could've used one in addition to power over memories. BTW I don't think Kairi has her own Keyblade yet, she used one Riku made using the Synch Blade ability. He must of had the ability since he still had part of Xehanort/Master Xehanort's (who used to have a Keblade before the amnisia, and given, Xemnas's behavior, may have gotten some back before the split) Heartless in him, because Sora can only use it because has Ven's heart, according to Nomura.

I know she hasn't gotten the keyblade of heart yet: but still there is no reason for her to wield a keyblade in her "nobody" state, she is in fact...using her art as a weapon. Odd as it seems, but that is her weapon.

What are you on about? A 'Keyblade of Heart'? Kairi inherited the power to use a Keyblade from Aqua (accidentally), as soon as the right circumstances are reached, Kairi will gain access to her own Keyblade, a Keyblade of the Light, like Sora's and Riku's. And, by extension, if she ever physically appears again, so should Namin

In KHBBS there was a quotation: This is the quotation that i am talking about about the "Keyblade of hearts" it said: There was a war going on between the keyblades of darkness, and the keyblade of light, and i could have sworn that they said that there was not only those 2 types of keyblades but a third kind, keyblade of heart. Which the keyblades of darkness, and keyblades of light were TRYING to get to join their sides. I don't see how a keyblade of heart does not exist when it is specifically brought up in BBS from my understanding. Just because it hasn't happened: Yet, doesn't mean that she won't be the keyblade of heart that they were looking for during the keyblade wars.

The point of the matter is namine was never chosen as a keyblade weilder, she was chosen as a witch. I mean: Kairi willl in fact be using a keyblade in KH 3/3D or w/e next game KH has coming out with.

I know what the Keyblade of hearts is, and a princess of hearts is. I've played the game 1/2/Re:com/358/2 days/KH BBS, and i know what the keyblade of peoples hearts is: its not a keyblade of hearts its a Keyblade made to unlock peoples hearts. Revealing their true self in the process.

Keyblade of heart and keyblade of peoples-hearts are 2 entirely different things.

"There are three families of Keyblades: the Keyblades of light we wield, Keyblades of darkness, and Keyblades of heart."

However, then he goes onto how the keyblade was created when the world was "redone" and the only way to make it is by gathering 7 of the purest hearts: however...those two phrases seem contradictory. "It was made when the worlds were reorgonized" and..."It can only be made by gathering 7 purest hearts"...

Now I see what you're on about.

The Keyblade War was fought over Kingdom Hearts and the most powerful Keyblade, the X-Blade. It can only be forged when a heart of light and a heart of darkness merge together however (Ventus and Vanitas did that). The X-Blade is made from the fusion of the two hearts, and if it's destroyed, then the hearts that make it will be too, or near enough.

There was no 'third side' in the Keyblade War, no idea where you got that from, the third type of Keyblade only became necessary after the Keyblade War. Xehanort mentioned it briefly, as one of his many plans (which he attempted to act upon as Ansem the Seeker of Darkness).

Nomura has confirmed that the Keyblade of People's Hearts is the third type of Keyblade, which has only come into existence once, though incompletely, during Kingdom Hearts 1.

The 'Keyblade of Heart', as you put it, IS the same as the Keyblade of People's Hearts.

Except that Kairi has been confirmed to have inherited the power of the Keyblade from Aqua.

Also, if Kairi got a Keyblade, her Princess abilities wouldn't interfere with that, they'd just sort of be there. Like how Vexen has a shield, but also uses ice. She could use her Princess abilities in conjunction with the Keyblade, but her powers are sort of limited to people she cares about (her friends).
