My (Rough) Sketches

I'm teaching myself how to draw lol. I will be posting sketches of characters from my story series A Perfect World, as well as random characters that pop up in my head. Keep in mind that I am an utter noob when it comes to drawing

 

 

This is the rough character design of one of my characters, Jake Taylor.

 

 

This is a very very rough character design of another one of my characters, Roque. (Yeah, I know his face is f*cked up)

fool. Nice noob drawings. If you want to learn how to draw, start with a different approach. I suggest you get Manga for Dummies. It really helped me.( If I sounded mean, I didn't mean to)

Thanks. I'm considering getting that book, I might get it for Christmas or after Christmas. I've mostly been looking at other people draw on YT, and taking the skills they use and using them to draw. And you didn't sound mean lol.

For the second one, that being a noob drawing, it was pretty good. : ) The first one's body sort of bugs me, though. It's like how my mom always complained that Bratz dolls heads were bigger than their bodies and that Kingdom Hearts characters' feet were too big for their bodies. If you'd drawn the shoulders out some more, it would have been pretty good. 8D

Ah. Yeah, someone else told me that his body was misproportioned. I knew I could've did better with him.

My first drawings were.... scary. Those are really good! I think the problem with the first one is the neck looks too big and fat compaired to the head and body

-I've been reading A Perfect World since its beginnig and now I see I was imaginenig the cahracters completly different from what they really look like lol. It was a very good Idea to draw them (the fans need to see the characters ^^):o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o

-NOw, about the drawing themselves: I think you should work more on the proportions of the body (do a sketch for the head shape frist and then work on eyes, nose ans stuff; it's 'cause I think Roque's head shape is looking a little funny, but I tmaybe schemes for head shape can help to fix that ;D )

-Tao's body is quite small, his arms look a little to skinny and they have no elbows ...

WOW! those are a lot better then my frist drawings (Which I burned so no one could see them). You will get better in time!
