i swear i've had this conversation before, but there's a simple solution: animate the kh manga. it's a rehashing of the main plot with nothing that affects the actual main plot told via the games (though i would love some of it to have been canon, like kairi wiggling with the dusks)

i think it's better this way. the zombies from what if had their powers, sure, but they lacked the overall goal and higher thought processes that the ones from the comics were shown to have. this lets them do a more comics-accurate interpretation and still works in terms of canon because of the whole multiverse thing that's been established now
