Do you think he remembers?

I was rewatching the Legacy cutscene from BBS and wondered, do you think Riku would remember Terra if he came back in KH3D or something? Or, since he was five, remember the keyblade or nothing at all?

 

EDIT: I do think he must remember something. Just not everything.

surely he must remember because thats what made him want to go to other worlds when he was in kh1 i dont believe anyone could have forgotten that kind of thing.Dood!!!!!!!

Yes he did. While there, Terra asked him why he was interested in other worlds, and he said he wanted to be stronger. He knew there had to be other worlds if Xehanort left.

 

And I'm fairly certain Riku does indeed remember Terra and what transpired that day, but because Terra told him not to speak of it, he kept it secret. If asked about Terra, I'm sure he would bring it up.

To be honest, he likely forgot, he'd already determined that he wanted to leave before Terra showed up. However, he's said nothing about it, so there's no way we can actually be sure.

I actually have quite a few memories so why not and in kh1 it was already shown that Sora did remember playing at the island.

Nomura answered a question concerning this but he left it open ended like "he might have just been keeping it a secret."

In real life that would be a strange enough even t for most people to remember.

But in Kingdom Hearts Land? Riku'll be lucky if he remembers who Sora is, or what the keyblade is.

seriously, I doubt there's anybody in KH that remembers something that happened more than a year ago.

Wow, lots of responses. Yeah, I don't remember much from five either, but who knows. And yeah, I think he might say something if asked about Terra, but no one knows enough about it to ask him. Yen Sid and Mickey remember Terra, but they don't know that Riku knows him, and Sora, gosh, he was four at the time, so he probably remembers less than Riku does, plus he never actually talked to Terra. *phew* Done rambling now.

long term memory starts to develop around the age of one and I don't think you could forget something as big as some guy choosing you as your apprentice.

 

However, it could be possible that Riku thinks it was a dream or maybe he imagined it but somewhere in his mind he has gotta remember Terra and if not him, the actual ritual thing.

Nomura confirmed that of the SRK trio, Riku is the only one who still remembers Terra and Aqua, at least vaguely. Maybe not Terra's face specifically, but that some really awesome guy came and promised him power and freedom by grasping what he now knows as a Keyblade.

Well I don't remember alot of stuff from 10 years ago. But when you live on a little island and interact with 4 other people your entire life, you tend to remember more...

You guys are forgeting that namine messed with the memories of people connected to sora. that's the only reason why everyone forgot him.
