Feels like its a remaster to me like how Blizzard did it with Diablo 2: Ressurection, which is fine because Crisis Core was only available on the psp, where areas FF7 and FF7R are both available, with the exception of FF7R not being on Switch and Xbox One

I'm pretty sure it's a similar situation as oot where they have the psp to work off of but they're also building a ton of stuff from the ground up
