staves have a lower chance to cause link attacks compared to strike, pierce and slash

but it has an equal chance of doing it to any enemy

yeah

battle scopes tell you everything

elemental weaknesses, physical affinities and so forth

that is why i typically recommend linking two different character types together

like alisa and rean cover slash and pierce

yeah, unless you're playing on hard or higher, you don't have to concern yourself with much attention to the mechanics

btw, alisa gets a very broken craft
