so they were already thinking

there might be a mole because "how did the villains know the kids would be at the disaster simulator for training" and "how did the villains know the kids were gonna be camping at this specific place"

and expressed that for the audience (like, it wasn't just fan speculation). but after establishing they were gonna investigate it, the whole thing kinda went unnoticed until now (which, to be fair, they kinda had a lot of other plot things going on in the meantime)
