I also don't want to believe into this narrative that sequels sell less

Kingdom Hearts 3 sold 5 million copies in its first week

like even if you argue from a hype and anticipation perspective Rebirth should have sold more than KH3. You can't have a better USP for your game than "experience one of the most memorable scenes in gaming history again"

I really. Really hate. That people pretend this isn't true. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on The Box would have gotten MAYBE an extra 200-500K. Fat maybe too.
