Like a lot of bosses just have a “firetruck you, you’re not allowed to hit me” phase where you SHOULD be able to do damage but the game arbitrarily decides you can’t. Zelda bosses are infamous for this.

I mean… there’s nothing wrong with this boss fight philosophy tho imo

Especially in Zelda

Zelda is meant to be puzzel-y and figure it out

This bleeds into their bosses being a puzzle

Zelda games' charm and legacy come from their accessibility.

There's RPG mechanics and exploration but it's not crazy like Dragon Quest, or Final Fantasy. No crazy equipment to manage or math to do. Plus easy controls
