I wasn't expecting anything or have any high hopes for this show before it came out, but I guess the wait was worth it, it's truly a good presentation and has an impressive budget that rivals with Disney plus shows, the writing is actually pretty good and character portrayals is just as good as the Peter Jackson ones, a very rare thing to see this day and age

This past Friday... at long last... with what felt like took over a year... I finished Shaman King 2021. Overall... I really loved this anime. Seriously. I did. It was freaking great. It wasn't as bad as everyone made it seem like it was. I will* admit though... it *did feel kind of rushed at the end. But I'm not going to allow that to effect how I felt about it overall. Just great. Can't wait for the sequel that was confirmed a couple of months ago or whenever it was. I'm considering 3 animes that are on Netflix only as a replacement and I'm having trouble deciding which one to watch. Feel free to suggest one of them if you wish. I'm considering either Aggretsuko, Dragon Pilot, or Godzilla Singular Point.

i think a lot of the people who have complaints about the show are either those that watched the original anime already or those who read the manga, so their expectations were maybe set too high. if this is your first exposure to the series, then it makes sense that your reaction would be more positive comparatively

personally, i recommend aggretsuko, but be careful as you can probably blow through it within a day or 2 if you binge it (episodes are about 10-15 minutes each, except season finales)
