It's one of the faults to the system, the enemies will constantly attack the character you play as

But it's designed like that on purpose because the characters you don't control just do very basic attacks and very slow too

So if the enemies went after the characters you don't control then they wouldn't be able to do much

It's something I hope they can improve upon in Rebirth

Do they do reduced damage too? Some games have it set like that so they can't just carry you but idr if Remake was like that.

No, they just attack very slowly which ends up with the ATB bar progressing slow too

Alternatively while you tank you can still give orders separately to teamates you aren't controlling but yeah it's still could have been implemented better
