You can talk about the keyblades, the abilities, the accessories, the gummi ships-- anything! Cutscenes, plot twists-- I just want to know your favorites! I've written some articles discussing what I think are the best keyblades, accessories, abilities, and gummi ships. I would love if you guys would check them out! Dagesh Lene 366 Posted May 10, 2020 (edited) While I think that KH1 and KH2 are better overall, I think that KH3 has the best moments in the entire series. I think I remember hearing someone say once that everything from Anti-Aqua to Scala ad Caelum is the best game he's ever played, and I would have to agree. Of everything that happened in that part of the game, here are my favorites (listed in the order that they happened in game): Anti-Aqua I loved everything involving Anti-Aqua, from Riku's fight against the Demon Tower that ends with him calling for Sora to help him to Aqua realizing she's no longer in the Realm of Darkness, it was all fantastic. Sora and Kairi sharing a paopu fruit Sora and Kairi sharing a paopu fruit was the only thing I was really hoping to see in this game, so I was over the moon with excitement when it happened. Everyone who still says that they aren't a couple is just in denial at this point since, now that their destinies are intertwined, they are basically already married. Union χ This was the most epic moment in all of Kingdom Hearts history: Sora fighting the storm of darkness with the light of the past (the contest winners from Union χ). There was only one moment that topped this one that appeared in the DLC, which we will get to later. The Sea Salt Trio reunite Like with Anti-Aqua, everything about this moment, from when Sora first showed up to help Kairi and Axel to the end when Sora left and the Sea Salt Trio was left alone with each other was all fantastic. Sora, Riku, and King Mickey vs. Ansem, Xemnas, and Young Xehanort When I was younger, I imagined a fight in which King Mickey summoned Sora and Riku to help him defeat Ansem, Xemnas, and Master Xehanort. It was something that I thought was too crazy to ever actually happen, but low and behold, it did. Sora, Donald, and Goofy vs. Master Xehanort Sora, Donald, and Goofy fighting a Master Xehanort who is now wielding the χ-Blade on a platform of light high in the sky with Kingdom Hearts shining above you? Yes, please. The Guardians of Light vs. the Replica Xehanorts We're in the DLC now. This fight was pure fan service, and I loved every moment of it. King Mickey vs. the Replica Xehanorts This is the moment that surpassed Union χ as the most epic Kingdom Hearts moment: King Mickey slowly moving toward the giant Keyhole in the sky as he blocks the attacks from the Replica Xehanorts, ending with him annihilating all of them. I'm sure future moments will surpass this one as the most epic moment in Kingdom Hearts history, but right now, this one wears the crown. Sora and Kairi vs. Armored Xehanort While I thought that the final battle against Master Xehanort in the base game was better overall, this one was way more climactic. It just felt more like a true ending than the base game did, which resolved my main problem with the base game: the fact that it didn't feel like a finale, even though it was supposed to be one. Though those moments are the main things I loved, I also loved the detail of the Disney worlds (specifically Toy Box and the Caribbean) and I loved the soundtrack to this game (this game had the best soundtrack of all the games in the series so far, in my opinion), with my favorite tracks being (in the order that we heard them in game): The Deep End (Rock Titan Boss Theme; all four parts) Tension Rising (Kingdom of Corona Version) Beneath the Lanterns (cutscene music) Anti-Aqua Union χ Terra-Xehanort and Vanitas Boss Theme The Other Promise/Vector to the Heavens (Saix Boss Theme) Oscurita di Xehanort (Ansem/Xemnas/Young Xehanort Boss Theme) Scala ad Caelum L'Eminenza Oscura (Data Ansem) L'Oscurità dell'Ignoto (Data Xemnas) Lord of the Castle (Data Marluxia) Forze de Male (Data Dark Riku) Vector to the Heavens (Data Xion) A Glimmer atop 104 (Yozora Boss Theme) So, those are what I consider the best of the best of Kingdom Hearts III. While not the best game in the series (in my opinion), I still think it is a great game that has a lot of great things to offer.
