but it would feel sucky to not have some form of exposition to explain sephiroth and his back story

You learn a little bit about him but you don't know who he is

an soldier that's susposedly dead and affect cloud's psych to an extent and was a fallen hero. he was someone to be feared by shinra and cloud. Cloud spent the whole game trying to deem if hes truly alive or just a memory. - hows that for the remake knowledge?

That is fair I suppose although a number of new players are complaining that they still don't know who he is by the end and why we are fighting him I would have to look through each seeing Hand by hand to determine fully bud I think the Remake just tells you that he's bad and he's supposed to be dead

You know he is a threat but you don't know why he is I suppose?

Or what his history is with cloud

I don't think that's necessarily such a big issue since it's only part one of the ongoing story but I guess that can we people feeling frustrated

ah i meant to correlate that to the whole issue of new players not really knowing sephiroth

kinda reminds me of this where I feel like part of me not feeling attached is cuz I didn't play the original

whereas people who played the original will know sephiroth's history
