if like

xemnas and Ansem were actually vessels for different aspects of Xehanort's personality that he severed off

Xemnas is YYX
Ansem is Apprenticenort
Xehanort is YX

and he purposefully made YYX into Xemnas because he lacked a heart to feel emotions

the only thing being that they paint apprenticenort as a much darker and much more grim character than the other norts
