I don't think it will be Yozora

 

And I don't think it will be as Sora.

 

Why you ask? Because as Chirithy stated in the trailer, after abusing the power of waking Sora would "vanish from this world, and without [his] power, [he] can't go back to the world [he] came from". This implies that in the moment Sora is in Night Sky Final World and meets Yozora, he no longer possesses the power of the keyblade!!

How can you fight the dude as a secret boss when you don't have a damn keyblade

My theory is this, Nomura is throwing a huge red herring with Yozora at the end of the trailer and there is going to be a secret boss involving the MoM or something else

That is a really interesting theory man! I love it! But I still think sora will fight yozora to some capacity, and win, because in the secret ending for base kh3, yozora is watching over riku, so he might try and fight him next, and hopefully he’ll win instead of yozora this time. Riku is after all my favourite kh Character but only because of his character growth in kh3.

Huh. Y'know that's actually a really interesting theory! I went into this thread prepared to give my two cents that I thought it would be Yozora, but you made a very good point! Sorra probably doesn't have the power of the keyblade anymore.

That being said though, it could be that the boss will be Yozora and we'll be playing as Riku. After all, in the KHIII secret ending, Yozora is looking down on Riku from the top of the building. But I do love your theory! You may very well have something there.

Very likely, all "Secret Bosses" tends to be the next big bad guy of the next adventure; or being related to that. 

+ On the first KH, Xenmas was the Secret Boss; giving us a clue of KH-II.   
+ On KH-II, Lingering Will was the Secret Boss; giving us a clue for "Birth by Sleep".   
+ On KH:BbS, Young Xehanort was the Secret Boss; giving us a clue for "3D".   
  
If I had to guess, I would say the Secret Boss in Re:MIND must be the Master of Masters, indicating he and the Foretellers will be the new Big Villains.

I already figured that it wouldn't be Yozora because Yozora seems like a good guy to me. (In the Verum Rex commercial, he was trying to save that girl.) I'm sure they could make up a reason why we'd fight him, but I just don't see a reason right now.

You make a really interesting point about Sora losing his powers. I hadn't thought about it like that. I thought he might just lose some of his powers, like how he had to relearn some things at the beginning of KH3. But yeah, maybe he totally lost the ability to use the keyblade... Hm.

Maybe we'll fight Demyx as Riku. lol (Seriously, I really want this... I really want a KH3 Demyx battle...)

That's very exciting to think about, to be honest! And since the Master Of Masters does appear in Re:Mind, that begs the question if we shall get to fight him or not, ya know?

If the secret boss is someone we fight as someone besides Sora, I hope they are customizable. I wasn't super keen on how Riku and Aqua played as compared to Sora, where I had more abilities, Keyblade transformations, ect. I do like the idea of fighting other bosses as other characters (like Roxas) but I hope they are mechanically smooth enough for ReMind. Excited either way and cool theory you put out.

I think it would be cool if Yozora wasn’t the final boss. I do think however that we will play as Sora. The secret boss of a game is supposed to be where you use all of the skills and techniques  to their max. Since we barely play as the other characters and their load out is prefixed I don’t think we’d be able to have a good secret boss. It would have to be nerfed from something Sora could take on. Just my 2 cents ?‍♂️ It would be cool if they could make it work though, don’t get me wrong!
