The novelty has worn out for many and a lot of fans are displeased with the Sequel Trilogy and Disney's overall handling of the franchise sans Mandalorian

I think the best way to gauge the future box office returns will be looking at the second week drop off

I think my overall feelings towards the new trilogy are...meh

I liked TFA, TLJ kinda killed any expectations I had for the movies (not to say I HATED it, it was just very flawed and I wasn't feeling the...choices that were made), and TROS was an obviously scrambled movie trying to appease everyone yet no one at the same time
It's been said before, but it's the truth. As flawed as the prequels were, they still had some sort of direction, I don't see any of that with the sequels.
It's like they're trying to be three things at once: they're trying to be the original trilogy, they're trying to be they're own thing, and they're actually trying to dismantle and go against the original trilogy

That part seems more on Rian to me

TFA played it safe but had some plot hooks, TLJ came about and destroyed all those threads in the name of "subversion"

And now RoS is a a sequel to TLJ that effectively either ignores it or takes shots at it while being a sorta sequel to TFA while basically being another trilogy compressed into one movie

the only things i know about the finale are 1. something about a "familiar person" showing up (according to the plot synopsis), and 2. mando's gonna lasso a tie fighter (from the trailer for the show as a whole)
