KHUX New world featuring Wreck-It Ralph is coming to Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross]

Today's new Kingdom Hearts Union X story update added new quests featuring a whole new world, which brings the player to the Game Central Station from Wreck-it Ralph. The announcement of a new world goes back to Tetsuya Nomura's first tease of a world that both had not appeared in the series yet and whose character appears as summon in Kingdom Hearts III. Although the story update is actually available on Japanese server only, it is expected that it will reach North American and European servers soon.

It was kind of obvious, but still nice to actually see it.

Hopefully this will finally shut up people saying a Wreck-It-Ralph world can't work without the videogame cameos (Sonic, Q-bert, etc.).

As cool as this is, I can't say I'm not disappointed. I was really hoping that Union Cross would wind to a close soon so that they could port it to consoles already.

Omg, this is so surprising! I didn't expect Game Central Station to be a world in this game! This is exciting, I'm sure there's gonna be some connections to the datascape wirh this world, since Ralph and the others are data!

It's been hinted numerous times that it is not coming to a close anytime soon

Im with you on that. I would rather have them end UX on a huge cliff hanger and be done with the mobile aspect of it rather than keep it going. That being said, I think it would be cool if you could race fellow players in sugar rush or slaughter race lol

I doubt it will ever get ported to consoles. I think the best we can hope for is a tie in movie, similar to Back Cover.

OK, I think I need help. I'm not quite following this, even afterthe translated version was already released. So, everybody knows they have been in a Datascape the whole time? What it means "Outside of time"? Which world is "outside of time"? The Datascape or another one? I need a clearer explanation. 

I'm working about something related to "Break it Ralph", but I need to understand this story first.

Well it's pretty obvious but it's nice to see it. However, it would've been better if this world was on the console instead of a mobile game. There's a lot of potential to explore Game Central Station in Unreal Engine. Plus, I really hope they end Union Cross very soon because this story could've easily been told in either a movie (like Back Cover x) or on a handheld system as a side-story.

I know, it's pretty frustrating. But, I guess the main reason is because it takes time for game developers to translate the updates from Japanese to English

Not just with Game Central Station, but also with Tron since that was included twice in the series. Well, the two movies in each game anyways with the orignal film being in Kingdom Hearts 3 and the second, Tron Legacy in Dream Drop Distance. I think the back story behind this whole data plot in the series originally came from Tron, but not only did Tron Legacy came out, but a few years later, so did Wreck-It Ralph, which most likely made them expand this whole data-verse plot that involves the characters creating entire worlds and characters from data. But most of the time, the characters that are made entirely of data grow their own hearts and live by themselves which is like becoming independent people like we've seen with Tron and with the Wreck-It Ralph characters.

Interesting! Since union cross and Kingdom Hearts are connected this mayd be bigger news that first thought. Because if now games from other propertys show up ( which they probably wont) that could be a big hint for the Future of the Series or atleast that we can expect this to show up in the dlc or next game

That's the problem with KHUx in particular. It throws tons of questions at you and hardly provides any clear answers yet. They really need to clarify some things soon regarding the datascape, etc. or people will really fail to follow at some point. Theories like the sleeping realms theory can only exist because they expect the fans to fill in too many blanks. (Which doesn't mean said theory is entirely true because of something the ultimania explains differently already while confirming other aspects to exist, but it just shows how little effort they spend on actually taking the time to explain since DDD.)

I agree that a movie is more likely but I am fairly certain we will get some sort of console port in one form or another. The main reason is that KHUx is crucial to the understanding of the general plot and mobile games tend to cease accessibility after a while because it's too expensive. Alternatively, they could release a mobile version with just the story and a few features for a set price and no MMO parts after it's over to make sure people don't have to resort to YouTube while not having to maintain servers that much.

There's more evidence for the game being ported to consoles than you think.

For starters, mobile games that require a server are disposable. Union Cross is no exception so it's ripe for the remake treatement. Also, Nomura said that one more game will be created before Kingdom Hearts IV, a console version of Union Cross is the smartest and most cost-efficent choice for said title.

Even though they likely won't show up in Union X, this totally means that Mario, Sonic, and others are totally canon to the KH universe! This is also totally the gateway to getting Sora into Smash! (Only half kidding...lol) XD

If I remember correctly, among the two you mentioned, only Sonic appeared in the movies.
