SoraAlfheim 69 Posted March 30, 2019 Not even Star Wars or Marvel have made their way into Kingdom Hearts yet. So I doubt you'll see Avatar there in a while. I have to be real here. Just because Disney owns something, doesn't mean it will ever make its way into Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts isn't Disney Infinity. It was never intended to be some hub for every single IP that Disney owns. Alien is an R rated horror movie, so you're not gonna see Xenomorphs in Disneyland, like ever. Maybe, (but even this is highly unlikely) just maybe you'll see some reference to it in Hollywood studios as some kind of merch. But that's about it. Disney has always been about keeping their parks PG. I can totally see Wolverine and other X-men making their way into the Avengers, though. Post-endgame MCU is open to a lot of possibilities in that regard. 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
Allwil13 754 Posted March 30, 2019 I don't think Avatar will show up in Kingdom Hearts. Even if they do end up including Star Wars and Avengers, which I still think is unlikely, I think Fox properties is out of bounds for Kingdom Hearts. In regards to Disney buying Fox, I'm not happy about it. I mean, technically Disney now owns Family Guy,/all of Seth MacFarlane's shows, The Simpsons, and Bob's Burgers among a ton of other stuff. Which I find very concerning since DIsney plans to pull all their properties from Netflix when they launch their streaming service and I would rather not pay more money for a disney specific streaming service. I know a lot of people think that Fox won't be doing R rated movies and shows anymore due to being bought out by Disney. I don't think we need to worry about this, since Disney has done R rated films through Touchstone and Miramax. And Alien had better stay R rated, because those movies are awesome! 40 minutes ago, HaakonHawk said: Not even Star Wars or Marvel have made their way into Kingdom Hearts yet. While I agree that we probably won't see Xenomorphs in Disneyworld, they could do something for Alien. In the early 2000s Disneyworld had a ride that really pushed the envelope called the "Extra-terror-restrial Encounter" that I'm pretty sure was inspired by the Alien franchise. That being said, it didn't last long because a ton of people complained, so maybe I'm just grasping at straws here. Honestly though I would love to see them do something like that. We were lucky enough to make our trip to Disneyworld while the Extra-terror-restrial Encounter was still open and it was awesome! I guess when it comes down to it though, the deed has been done so we'll just have to wait and see what happens. And above all, hope for the best. 1 EchoFox23* reacted to this

I completely forgot about that. I don't remember doing that ride, although our trip to Disney was 17 years ago so a lot of my memories are hazy. LunaCatte 169 Posted March 31, 2019 Just as another thing, I don't really see many of the franchises outside of what Disney itself has produced making it into KH. Disney and Pixar have worked very very closely together since the acquisition which makes that a little bit more understandable as to how Pixar franchises got included in KH3, but Nomura himself noted that they have to ask not just Disney, but the individual companies as well and anyone that has control over the franchise (looking at you EA with your exclusivity contract from Lucas Arts for Star Wars games for a while). Which makes it a little bit more challenging than to simply just say "Hey Disney, we would like to use Avatar in our next KH game, would that be okay?" cus even if Disney greenlights it, they would then also have to petition Fox and whoever else might have control over Avatar. 4 EchoFox23*, Allwil13, Tyranto Rex and 1 other reacted to this
EchoFox23* 318 Posted March 31, 2019 I'm not too happy about Disney owning Fox... they got too much power in the industry and seeing how they are already, it's just going to get worse (probably). I don't know much about what they plan to do or why they did it, but it gives me a bad feelings... As for Kingdom Hearts, it took them a long time to get Pixar into Kingdom Hearts. Even then Pixar was more so assimilated into the Disney Studios, compared to other companies like LucasFilms and Marvel. I highly doubt we'd be seeing Avatar or Alien in the Kingdom Hearts series. But that doesn't mean they could try... though I feel like it'd be more difficult to try to get them in... 1 Tyranto Rex reacted to this

Heather Chandler 67 Posted April 3, 2019 So Ellen Ripley is a Disney princess now? Oh, wait, does this make the Alien Queen a real queen, as well? So many strange implications, and that's only one franchise ?
SweetYetSalty 330 Posted April 3, 2019 I'm overall indifferent to Disney buying Fox. The only thing that I wanted was for the MCU to get back the X-Men and FF. That being said, am I ready for Wolverine in Avengers? I feel the same way about Wolverine that I do about FFVII. Both suffer from overexposure. I'm actually crossing my fingers the first MCU X-Men movies don't involve him at all. I need a long break after the Fox run. It's funny I really want to see the X-Men in the MCU, but not so much Wolverine. As far as Avatar in KH, I don't see it happening and maybe it's for the best. I'd put that in the same category as Star Wars.
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted April 3, 2019 It is pretty insane to believe that we live in a time where we can say that Anastasia can now technically count as a Disney movie. Cuz for years, people have always confused that animated film for a Disney flick because of the animation style and storytelling. I honestly thought it was a Disney film, so when I found out it was made by Fox, that took me by surprise! But now that Disney owns Fox, we can technically call Anastasia a Disney princess! XD But yeah, the most exciting thing about this deal for me is the fact that the Fantastic Four and the X-Men can finally be integrated into the MCU, since Marvel Studios can now play ball with these characters! Galactus for next big bad of the MCU all the way!
