Ursalink 113 Posted March 16, 2019 (edited) OK, this is a topic that I would like to share with all of you. There are several curious elements related to Verum Rex that should be investigated. Let's see if there's a way for us to solve at least part of this mystery. 1º) The words in its box: The words that the box of this "videogame" in the Toy Box could really give us a clue about what this is all about. Let's see: - "Verum Rex": This is Latin for "True King". Question is, king of what? Then I realizes, all this story turns around something called "Kingdom Hearts". Why it has this name in the first place? And if it's really a Kingdom, shouldn't it have a "king" to rule it? I mean, you can't have a kingdom without a king, and it's pointless to be a king without a kingdom. So, maybe we are talking about the King of "Kingdom Hearts"? - "A journey without a place to return": This part makes me think about Sora. This is similar to his situation in the first game, as his journey ended up with him unable to return home (at least for a time). But it also makes me think about Sora's situation after the end of KH3. I mean, he sacrified himself to save Kairi, and now he's trapped into a new jorney from which he can't return home. Of course, there's must be a way for the franchise to continue. - "After a long fight, weapons have brought great benefits for humanity, but the "KARMA" that sleeps in humans will accelerate further": This is really mysterious, but it makes me think about something similar to the ORIGINAL Keyblade War. Similar to how humans used weapons (keyblades) to collect lux. - "In the light of the warhead in the night sky, they chose to fight while feeling the pain of their hearts...": I'm not sure if this part was correctly translated. I believe maybe it meant "Yozora (as his name means "Night Sky"), in the light of the war ahead, he chose to fight while feeling the pain of his heart...". Anyway, it seems to involve a new war (Xehanort's new Keyblade War) and Sora's determination to fight even after losing Kairi. "Heart" is one of the "key" (no pun intended) words in this text. - "That's the story of the King of Truth. Reclaim your heart": This must be another translation error, because maybe it should be "True King" and not "King of Truth". Maybe this story involves the "True King of Kingdom Hearts". But the most important part seems to be "Reclaim your heart", because such words would mean somebody lose his heart and tries to recover it. That could mean the main character might be a Nobody, as the original Organization XIII wanted to recover their hearts too. Maybe "Yozora" is also a Nobody. 2º) Sora's clues in promo arts and other details: + This story talks about "the True King", which could mean the King of Kingdom Hearts' itself. We could guess that role must be for Yozora, considering he's based of Noctis, who is also a king. However, for a long time we have see Sora in promo arts sitting on a throne and/or wearing a crown. This could mean Sora is destined to become the "True King of Kingdom Hearts". + More clues about this are founded in Sora's ability to connect with so many hearts, which can reflect his great potential for being the "King of Hearts". Also, Sora's default Keyblade is known as "Kingdom Key", so we could guess "only the king has the key of the kingdom". Also, the incomplete shorlock of "Kingdom Key" is revealed to be called "King of Hearts", which could also reflect Sora's future role. + This story could also reflect the original game's story. I mean, Riku was supposed to be the original hero of the Keyblade, but he fell into darkness and the Keyblade passed to the worthiest person close to him: Sora. Maybe this is the same between Yozora and Sora. + Yozora's jacket has a curious symbol in its shoulder. It appears to be a pirate jolly roger, where the skull has a crown and the crossed bone are replaced by crossed Keyblades. (This could actually be Sora's Jolly Roger in The Caribbean). Anyway, the crossed Keyblades look like the Kingdom Key, and that makes me think about the X-Blade. At the end of KH-III, Sora received the X-Blade from the defeated Xehanort and used it to close Kingdom Hearts. This makes me think about another chance for Sora to become the "True King" of Kingdom Hearts. + Nomura confirmed a connection between Yozora and the Master of Masters. I have two options for this. One, this is similar to Vanitas and Ventus, as they are both light and darkness of the same coin. The other one, this is like Xenmas and Ansem, a heartless and a nobody. That's why the Master of Masters' face is still hidden, because he looks just like Yozora. Their separation is what caused Yozora to lose his role as "King of Hearts", and now, his "dark side" (Master of Masters) tries to reclaim it. I have more to comment, but this post is already too long. After any answer, I will post the rest. In the meantime, what do you think? Darkfire1408 43 Posted March 17, 2019 Interesting, however, Spoiler This new keyblade war would not be Xehanort's. As he said himself, he can only travel to a time in which a version of him exists. He died in the end of KH3, so that's a nix on time travel further. This might be the Master of Master's keyblade war though. His keyblade is still around in the future, with his eye. So he could theoretically time travel to any point up until it's destroyed.

I get your point, I'm just comparing what I saw with things we have already seen. I also suspect the new event will be caused by the ones you mention. Now, about the remaining details to mention: + In the "Verum Rex's trailer" we see at the start of Toy Story's world, if we make a pause, we can see a cartel on the street saying "Shibuya Center Street". Nomura also said that the place where Sora awakaned in the Secret Ending, which looks like Shibuya, "will be" the world of Verum Rex. I don't understand those words, but it seems to mean that, whatever is the story of the videogame "Verum Rex", Sora will become part of it. Basically, is what Sora has been doing from the beginning, getting inside the worlds of Disney's movies and becoming part of those stories. + Yozora has one blue eye (which seems to be "unnatural" because of the zoom on it from the trailer) and one red eye. The blue eye makes me think about the eye from the No Name's Keyblade and the supposed Master of Masters' Keyblade, although Yozora's blue eye doesn't look like a cat/snake's eye. This could be the "connection" between Yozora and the Master of Masters that Nomura mentioned. This also makes me think something funny. As we know, Braig/Xigbar lose his eye to Terra's dark attack and started to use an eyepatch. If the eye on the No Name is really from the Master of Masters, that means he must wear an eyepatch too; and I suppose his other eye must be red, like Yozora. Funny, "like master like student". + By the look of the trailer of "Verum Rex", this story also marks a lot of similarities with Kingdom Hearts and the first game. Think about it: - Yozora seems like a combination of both, Sora and Riku, as he's the hero of the story. This combines the fact that Riku was the Keyblade's Chosen One, but lost that position to Sora. - Magia* (if this is his real name), must be the guy with the black hat and uses twin rapiers as weapons. I guess this makes him similar to Donald, even more since he seems to use offensive magic spells to attack. - Aegis* (if this is his real name), must be the guy with glasses and uses a halberd. I guess this makes him similar to Goofy, even more since he seems to create force field to protect his team, similar to Goofy's shield. - Magia and Aegis' roles in the game seem to be similar to Donald and Goofy's role in the first game (and most of the franchise) as the hero's "super sidekicks"; just like Rex said in the "uncensored scene" from the demo of the game. - Finally, the mysterious girl that Yozora tries to save, seems to be the parallel of Kairi, as Sora's adventure in the first game had saving Kairi as one of his main goals. Well, what do you think? Edited March 17, 2019 by Ursalink
