Any ideas?

Recommended Posts

Okay, so, after a long period of deciding if I should or not, I decided to meet my father.

When I was around the age of two, he left me and my mother - not telling us where he was going or anything. So I have no clue where he currently resides.

I've put in his full name at the white pages website, but it turns out there are a lot of people with the same name....

So I was wondering if any one had an idea of where to start and how I can find him.

If you could give me an idea, it would help tons. Thanks.

I think it's really brave of you to be prepared to face him like that. I hope things go well. (:

Advice wise,

I'd suggest, if all else fails, just asking the government, or someone who would have records about your birth. The government, him being your birth father, would basically have to tell you where he lived. I'm not saying go to Congress or anything, but you know what I mean. xD

Again, I hope things go well~!

Thanks Lexi!

But, see, if I get the government involved, it would be bad.

Because he would owe tons of backed up child support. And I don't want him to deal with that and having the chance he won't want to meet me because he will have to pay that or go to jail - which I don't want. /:

You could probably try anyway they're too lazy to check.

My aunt's ex-husband is supposed to be paying child support, because she has a 16-year-old and a 9-year-old. It's been seven years, and he hasn't paid a penny, and recently my 16-year-old cousin was curious, and since her mom wanted to help her, she'd asked "some government people about the records of Nicole's father", and my cousin had been able to write letters to her dad, though her mom won't let her meet him yet. /longestrunonsentenceever Anyway xD, he wasn't busted for anything though the rest of my family hates him for being so lazy and he should've been.
