tbf KH3's development was pretty rough so it makes sense that we we're left in the dark there

My guess is that we won't hear anything until after Rebirth gets released. I'd have to go back and look at advertisement campaigns for previous SE games but I feel like they typically focus on one game to advertise until it releases and then moves on to the next one. More so looking at big name ips like FF and KH

there was one period we are all aware of where they announced too many things at once and we were left waiting for a lot of them, kh3 included

but for the most part yeah they usually wait until release of their current big game before focusing advertisement on the next

kh4 did get announced a bit early, they admitted that. but it was mostly for the anniversary event and so no leaks happen

just sucks because usually we have a side game or two to keep us busy

Well KH3 came out in 2019 and yes they had delays but It was announced in 2013, and realistically, they were probably shooting for 2017-2018. That's still 4-5 years away, imo, way too goddamn early.

Now, if KH4 comes out next year or 2025 like we are hoping, that's a 2-3 year wait window, not ideal, but, much more reasonable.

Yeah and I definitely feel like with the way that technology has progressed over the last few years that it’s not gobs be a super huge wait like with 3 since there’s already consoles that can keep up with the graphics and stuff now

I was yelling about that to DaZ last night; how as much as I hate FF13 and the decisions they made regarding that trilogy, all 3 Games were released in a timely matter, almost no delays, and told a conclusive story.

That's more than I can say for Square's output literally since FF15.

With the notable exception of Nioh, and Octopath- they've done great.

Being a square fan isn't so bad if you play more than KH and FF lol

And for a game of KH3’s scale, five years is on the long side but still reasonable. Announcing it that soon is just idiotic though.

“Now in development” tells us nothing other than the fact that the game exists. Apparently.
