I remember seeing Disney Channel adverts (or was it Disney ?) for the DS and PSP games and I remember asking my parents to get me Kingdom Hearts for those consoles as I had them for either my birthday or Christmas

Xion is a replica created at some point between Sora’s arrival at Castle Oblivion and Vexen’s death. Vexen used the memories Sora was losing in CO to give her life which is what created the connection between the two of them.

Yeah. As Namine made Sora forget Kairi, Vexen picked up the pieces and used them to create Xion. Then he went and died so Xion kinda went off the rails.

I did see a fan's rewritten KH series, and the way he tackled 358/2 Days and KH2 (and plus CoM and Coded) is too perfect

Where Xion should not be forgotten from existence, not having two Ansems (I hate that the most, and I'm glad that he gave Ansem the Wise a new name) and retconning Coded from canon (cause it's the most pointless of the series). Not to mention getting rid of the Disney Worlds from Chain of Memories
