Thing is, FF has the leisure of throwing whatever at the wall and abandoning stuff that was poorly received because they get to reinvent themselves every entry. Everything in KH has to be meticulously planned out and satisfy Nomura, Square, and Disney. It’s a delicate balancing act 20 years strong.

I wonder what a post-Nomura KH would even look like. The series by all means isn’t all him, but we saw what Konami did to MGS as soon as Kojima was out the door.
