Lewis is actually Wilbur's dad from the future, Franny becomes Lewis' wife, Bud is the one who adopted Lewis and the Bowler Hat Guy is actually Lewis' roommate from the orphanage who got bullied so he decided to take his anger out on Lewis for revenge because he was popular and he wasn't.
