Well, I don't think recasting him would be difficult. They can probably find a replacement that sounded enough like him if they wanted to.

But history shows that they don't actually care if a voice actor is controversial. They cast T.J Miller for Fred in the Big Hero 6 world even with his (then) recent reputation. And they cast James Woods despite... everything.

The only difference is that they won't advertise their return like they do with other actors.
