Aside from concepts for the dark ride, I guess storytelling aspect from each room though I think it might be difficult to implement the disney world's in it, let alone the entire saga, probably a retelling of the first game might work. Segments from Destiny Island, Traverse Town, Hollow Bastion and End of the World might do pacing through ride well enough but maybe smaller segments from disney world's might add more color to it. As for ride mover probably different colored gummi ships enough to hold 4 maybe 6 passengers if possible.

I think if it covered the plot if a single game, a dark ride in that style could work. Probably KH1, since it's the easiest to convey.

Even disregarding that, from an artistic perspective, KH wouldn't be what it is without Disney

I've gone over this before, but every ounce of KH is Disney. From Sora's design, to the recurring themes of hope, dreams, and friendship, to the resolution of the Xehanort saga. KH is a Disney product from head to toe.

Anyway, the only thing I'll add is that Disney could have very easily done a darker Xehanort resolution, because they've tackled plenty of dark tales in their lengthy animated history before.

Well KH is just a collaborative project between two media companies, kinda like with marvel vs. capcom sense, now that isn't going without saying the two can make totally separate projects to make one similar to the former with it being related to it.
