He knew Aqua treated Terra like shit, so he called her awful. Ventus had less reason to trust Terra as the stuff he saw lead more into that Terra did some bad stuff, but even he trusted Terra more than Aqua did even though she heard or saw jackshit.

Aqua was absolutely bad in radiant garden, she had zero reason to mistrust him the way she did.
