Alternatively, you swipe at it for no more than a few hits before running away when it gives the slightest hint of an attack telegraph. Spamming magic also helps.

huh... do you also by any chance, remember what type of keyblade you had leveled up? I used phantom gear originally, cause i was only using magic for it... Then, i started using wild gear, (as well as a hidden ability link and a power boost link for both gears) and i think that the wild gear does better,,,, but you seem like an expert, so maybe you might know?
