My problem is that this bit with Brain seems like a lot of overthinking, but it could still be Post-KH3

Okay so my thoughts on Brain right now is that Luxu dumps his body for another one at some point after finding a new candidate that he can be way more under the radar with or whatever, and when we see him waking up in Scala that’s actually him after his heart had moved forward in time after being ejected from his body being hijacked, and his hat was the intermediary, while the guy that found him was a friend of Ephemer’s who used to tell stories about his old friends, therefore “remembering” him

I find it super interesting that eraqus in the xehanort reports from BBS is said to descend from the direct founders of the original keyblade wielders (so Scala as we know it), so it wouldn't surprise me that he's the descendent of ephemer, which makes it even cooler that xehanort (reincarnated MC) "reunites" with his friend's descendant"
