Regarding this, my theory is

we know Luxord went a little rogue with his mission, not even Xigbar new his true intentions, I think that he (and Yozora) are fighting their own war against darkness in their world (Quadratum) and they (at least Luxord) somehow managed to be able to cross universes From Quadratum to the KH universe (which we know its harder than crossing from world to world) in search for something that can fight off the darkness, the black box, Luxord is the only member to be shown searching for it (we don't know what it has but IT IS something related to the battle against darkness) I think that explains why Luxord is so chill, treating everything like a game, he is not from this universe so what happens to this world doesn't really affect him

I think luxord is so chill about things right now because he already knows that he’s picked out Sora to be the one that is gonna come and help him and Yozora solve whatever mess is going on over in their world, he probably was meant to straight up die out like the key kids did but the wildcard somehow had the power to avert that very fate and bring himself elsewhere instead, cus I still love the idea that when Yozora is waking in the car and the first thing he hears is “impressive is it not?” its referring to Sora’s powers that are anything beyond the likes of which those two have seen exist naturally in their world, and if they bring Sora there, his friends will no doubt find a way to cross the threshold as well, bringing about even more help
