The original X was a browser only mmo game that was made just for Japan. Essentially what you need to know from X(Chi) is that there are five foretellers, and it happened a long long long time ago. These five foretellers had a master, the MoM, and he gave em all a book that tell the future. He also only gave one of the foretellers (gula) a special page, and told all of the furrytellers that they had special roles to play.

Then the MoM disappeared whoosh
Leaving his five kiddies to fend for themselves. Eventually, the furrytellers other classmate who's not a furry called Luxu came back, started a fight with Ava, and eventually that lead to the furrytellers starting a keyblade war.

Everybody died, except for a chosen few called the Dandelions, who were sent to the "Unchained" realm where they still sleep

That leads to Unchained X, aka UX

UX is basically= X but everyone's asleep

Well unchained chi is the dandelions reliving their memories of chi but asleep in the unchained realm, where ava sent them to keep them safe

And when the war is over, they'll be allowed to come back to the real world

Chi is just the "player" collecting lux and then going through the Keyblade War

Unchained is just the same but takes place in an "alternate" world where you more or less do the same stuff there and go through the whole process again

in x, you fought nightmare chirithy
in ux, that part of everyone's memory (you know, all the war stuff) was hidden, so you didn't fight nightmare chirithy
in union x, your player basically has a nightmare of what happened with all that war stuff, including fighting nightmare chirithy. but since it's in your sleep, your player doesn't actually remember what happened
