After experiencing Reddit for 2 years I hope that Twitter will stay. 2 years of Reddit made me absolutely hate the FF community (including XIV which I absolutely love). At least on Twitter people can only be intellectual dishonest and gatekeepy for 4000 characters. And yes 4000 because they want to increase it to 4000.

Another problem is that all the criticism and hate he gets currently will make this entire situation worse. He will start to only listen to people that agree with him because of how big the criticism and hate is which will then cause him doubling down on the far-right conspiracy bullshit.

We already saw the same thing happen with J. K. Rowling. Of course her transphobic tweets were terrible but after getting harassed and hated on such an insane level she only started to listen to other transphobes that agree with her instead of listening to the people she attacked.

It's in an ironic way contraproductive. I feel like if you want to convince people you have to understand why they feel like this
