OrpheusJoshua 126 Posted January 27, 2020 Beginning of new semester for meAt least only taking 3 classesOn the downside i gotta wake up at 7:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Inçendyne 31 Posted January 27, 2020 Better than grade school where people would wake up at 6:00 to get ready to leave before then
OrpheusJoshua 126 Posted January 27, 2020 TrueGod I have no idea how the firetruck I managed to wake up that early every weekdayAnd stay in school for 8 hours straight
Inçendyne 31 Posted January 27, 2020 A bit of leeway for the snooze buttonAs early as kids can get out w/ the last segment optional, there are considerations of having school start later so kids don’t have to wake up so early and be tired in the morning. Some schools in California want to start that, but that can cut into extracurricular and other after-school activities.
OrpheusJoshua 126 Posted January 27, 2020 I really think school should start at

2 quid is good 2,209 Posted January 27, 2020 It's proven teenagers, especially 13-16, need about 10 hours of sleep as that's the most active time for development iircI'd definitely think secondary schools should start at 9 at least but preferably later, but in the UK they absolutely should finish at 2pmIn the winter it's super depressing and unproductive having to wake up when it's pitch black, go to school when it's pitch black, and when it's finally 3pm and you get to go home it's still pitch black
Estoria#4001 19 Posted January 27, 2020 Jesus, I had no idea it is so bad over there
2 quid is good 2,209 Posted January 27, 2020 It's worse the further north you go
Otti#8624 26 Posted January 27, 2020 Same in Norway too, add in the cold ass snow in winter times and it's worse
Estoria#4001 19 Posted January 27, 2020 Living relatively next to Equator makes it so that I don't have any experience with weirdness like that
2 quid is good 2,209 Posted January 27, 2020 The Scottish Islands get dark pretty early in the winter, on the plus side in the summer it almost never gets completely darkI'd hate to live in Norway tbhI hear there's a part of the country that is dark for like 2 months
Otti#8624 26 Posted January 27, 2020 Probably somewhere in the northNot like that in Oslo

2 quid is good 2,209 Posted January 27, 2020 :axelbehold:@Estoria#4001 just to give you an example, I woke up at 6:30 am today to hitch a ride with a friend who picked me up at 7:20 am, it was still dark at that time and only about ten minutes later did the sun start coming up
2 quid is good 2,209 Posted January 27, 2020 I'm going back home now, and I left uni at 4:30 pm when the sun was settingIt got pitch black at about 5 pm
