Well the whole thing is he builds tension to slowly draw the audience in and builds story through environments. He made Sym Bionic Titan which is far more story driven

He has made a-lot of moments, scenes and even episodes where its completely silent.

Little to no words, No music, No action. He just lets the environment and the character’s reaction to their surrounds do the work.

I guess I can see where you are coming from but I still wouldnt really give it to him. And I mean to be fair Metroid as a series if it were to be faithful as an adaption would just be a lot of that. Those episodes tend to work in favour of a story like samurai jack because so much has been going one before and after. Though as a standalone episode that could work. Oh wait actually an anthology like series could work for metroid. If it was just different directors or animators doing a few episodes of a short series that would be cool. I dont think a continuous storyline is necessary. Unless you want to adapt prime's but then it would be hard unless you started adding characters and stuff into it.
