From my experience so far KH3 gameplay has a huge problem regarding its design philosophy. It's like they can't decide if they want it to be a rpg or action game

for example

KH1 is a rpg and KH2 is an action game

and KH3 is in between

but to be fair KH3 feels like you have more options compared to 2FM. In 2FM lvl 1 crit most of the times you spam the same combo

or magnet + thunder

or reaction commands

the gameplay is only really good in endgame/ or until you have most of the abilities/drive forms
