is it not unfair of you vanitas to sarcastically say people who never get the other scenes' context because they played only one version(which will probably be a majority of the western audience) are just living in some kind of bubble. It almost sounds a little elitist. Like how some anime fans consider the sub the only true story when it comes to anime mistranslation..

Well.. my thoughts is.. Dubs are good, and dubs are often a way to bring more people to anime

Buuuut.. it doesn’t hurt to double check sometimes if something seems odd

That's another thing btw. Using the mistranslation argument in favor of subs is just dumb. Exactly how would that make a difference? Subs aren't any less susceptible to mistranslations than dubs.

Hm.. while on one hand, you’re right, it’s been said that sometimes they need to cut down words here or there to make sure that the sentences match pacing.. mind you, I do t think that’s problematic because I totally get why that needs to happen,
