he's got a keyblade now, obviously

do you think its keyblade transformation is his old chakrams?

or are keyblade transformations a sora-only/master-only kinda thing?

well, that's a picky one
cause as of KH3 stands, only Lingering Will and Sora were able to do so

so on one had, it would be only Sora who does the fancy fun stuff

on the other, if it is something that with experience can be learned, then yeah probably

and terra was able to do it back in bbs what with the keyblade cannon shotlock

hell, technically all 3 of them were able to transform their keyblades into vehicles

naturally, that trio had a teacher at all times to help guide their skills so they had much more access to different abilities
while the destiny trio mainly went off their own kid combat styles and evolved from there given their adventures

so it wouldnt be out of the question to see the destiny trio do similar things given proper training from a wise keyblade master

true, but what about axel? he's getting his training from yen sid and merlin (well, kinda). so maybe that would allow him to learn how to transform his keyblade?

the problem is that Yen Sid hasnt used the keyblade in so long so he's training is mediocre at best
Merlin is a wizard, so all he can really offer is a place where time is slowed so that Axel and Kairi could learn how to basically use the keyblade

now, this is all the light warriors have since Eraqus is dead and Xehanort is evil and given the situation they were in, they didnt have a whole lot of time to make sure everyone was up to speed and masters

As for the transforming of the keyblade... maybe? Sora i figure learned how to do it once he tapped into his natural power after losing what he had after DDD as a lot of KH3's combat is based on what he already knew and what he has now learned from scratch again

And we've seen what Merlin taught to Sora and gang back in KH1 and KH2, so throw that into a hyperbolic like time chamber and and free reign to know how to hold a keyblade and swing the darn thing right and bam you got some training. Good training? eh that's subjective since you cant say what we got is the be all end all to it since they got thrown into a war

Oh well, in the next saga we'll get the Original Keyblade Master back... makes me really wonder what tricks will the foretellers use. With someone like MoM as their teacher, I can only imagine really weird and outlandish magic and combat moves which would make for a good contrast with their relatively mild and collected personalities. 

I also wonder if their animal masks will have some significance at all. It would be pretty dope if each of them could summon a spirit pet like our KHUX does to help them in battle.

If you could actually SWITCH between targets when you lock on in KH3, then I feel like the camera would be a lot better
