I feel like Nomura will change a lot of things he says in interviews anyways, so back to that point I do feel that sometimes I will 50/50 what he says there because he changes his ideas a lot.

You can't make a theory about Vanitas being a good guy in the next KH game because he was abused. That story is only in the novels. So unless the next KH game says he was, it can't be a thing at all

And like I said, BbS novels go into Vanitas' backstory.. It seems kinda disingenious to ignore it out of some dislike for scattered info(which yes.. that's a problem due to the years of multiple platforms)
