There are several places where you can search for a key. There is a drawer, a huge pool of water, and there is always the option that key could be in your sewn shut mouth....

Here is your scenario of the day:

First we do simple coordination. I will guide him a long by hold his hand and he will provide me with information I need to know.

You and a loved one are strapped to a pole, both of you impaled by spikes. You are able to escape this trap, but at the cost of your loved ones life. The more you remove the spikes from your body, the more your loved one gets hurt. And vice versa. If you completely remove the spikes, your loved one is done for. What do you do?
