Mariokhfanboy18 10 Posted January 8, 2019 I'm thinking a lot lately what if the game will be stupid bad, what are your thoughts on this?
KeybladeMasterBalo 504 Posted January 8, 2019 It's quite normal to get this thoughts close to release since you (AND ALL OF US) can become anxious. If you've been tracking the KHIII development since it's announcement you have been waiting around 6 years for this project. That's 2,190 days aka 52,560 hours of your life spent thinking and following a project you like. So when it's only 3 weeks away for you to finally enjoy it you start having "insecurities" such as: "What if I've been waiting for NOTHING", "What if it's not what I wished for", "What if it's short and thus doesn't accomplish my expectations". I think it's better to look at the story and gameplay glimpses they have given us and think for a moment about how they look as an overall. I think it's quite simple to look at it and choose if it's gonna actually be a good or bad thing for you... but then again... HERE YOU ARE! That tells me that you actually like what you see and thus the game will be GOOD for you. Sure there will be issues and opinions both positive and negative but that's other people's problems, If you yourself like it then it will be a GOOD experience for you. No one has the ability to dictate for real if a game is truly good or bad. It also depends on how you look on things. One example: Many people HATE the "FLOATY combat" in many KH games. These people consider that the laws of physics are not taken seriously and thus you take uneccessary damage while fighting alongside an antropomorphic talking dog and duck... see the issue? They focus on a SUBJECT and then declare it BAD. My personal take on this example? I don't actually mind, I could even say I LIKE IT. Why? Because it makes me feel vulnerable, thus I prepare myself to be more FOCUSED, SMARTER and STRATEGICAL to avoid damage. Isn't that a GOOD thing? So since I gave a positive view to it then I have taken this issue away from my experience and ENJOYED the games so far. So now tell me, what does BAD means for you when it comes to KHIII? clatter411 75 Posted January 8, 2019 To be honest, I've had similar worries. Many long time fans, myself included, want the game to play similarly to KH2FM. But from what I've seen, the Osaka team has given this game similar combat problems to the other entries in the series they've done. The same stuff they're known for. I'm also worried about the story. Parts of the story have gone through several retcons over the years and as more games get released the more dissatisfied I've become. I've been waiting for this game since '05 and so of course the hype is big. At the same time however I know this game won't live up to my huge expectations. The sad thing is, even knowing that, I don't think it will live up to much more reasonable expectations either.
SweetYetSalty 330 Posted January 9, 2019 As long as I get my good character interactions, reunions, and team ups then I should be okay with Kingdom Hearts 3, regardless of gameplay. The gameplay looks good from what I've seen in the trailers so I'm not worried about it. Right now my biggest worry is getting back into KH shape. I've been playing other games lately like Spyro Reignited and I need to make sure I get my button mashing mind back into X means attack and circle means jump. Unless they changed it for this game! Then that would be horrible!
Novayon 192 Posted January 9, 2019 I very much doubt the game will be stupid bad. Chances are there will be some disappointments, everybody's gonna experience something they don't like. But I don't think it will ruin the experience at least from what I've seen. With any luck if there are concerns maybe they will release patches. And I'm hoping for extra stuff as DLC 2 Exiblade7 and Tyranto Rex reacted to this
