SuperPunk 13 Posted November 3, 2010 So, school has started(for those of you still in it) and I have had trouble with school/homework and I know others have too. So I made this. This is a thread dedicated to helping with any problems you have with school or homework. Mind you, we won't just give you answers but we have to actually HELP you. Don't just expect an answer like: The answer is 4. or Lewis structures. Just elaborate as much as you can so a person can actually GET the problem or question. kthnxbegin. 1 Cyber Shaman reacted to this
the15thwiseone 1 Posted November 3, 2010 I am really good at math: if anyone has any questions regaurding math i can help you out. I've taken Differential equations, and Calculus 4.

the15thwiseone 1 Posted November 4, 2010 I LOVE YOU. <3 /cuzifailatschool 8D 2.3 Evaluate 4b * m < 6x Help meee? I'minAlgebra1Part1,whichIwasn'texpectingtotakeuntilhighschool.<8D um lets see: i'd start off by trying to figure out if there are any values that you do not know: are those letters all unknowns? are 1 of them given. If they are all unknown they want you to figure out which is the larges or which is the smallest: Example: *which is not necessarily right* B>X>M (this is usually done by...inserting 1 value in one of the variables. B,X, or M and then solving for the other 2. I hope that helps.
RoxAs Is Wise 7 Posted November 5, 2010 2.3 Evaluate 4b * m < 6x I honestly don't get what this question means, like 15th above me, what should we evaluate? Is there any other clue in the problem or that's it? Anyway I think I'm best with analysis, if you need to write a paper you can call my help.
SuperPunk 13 Posted November 5, 2010 I LOVE YOU. <3 /cuzifailatschool 8D 2.3 Evaluate 4b * m < 6x Help meee? I'minAlgebra1Part1,whichIwasn'texpectingtotakeuntilhighschool.<8D That question's kind of wierd... All of them have variables so, to me, it's almost impossible to figure out which are which. You can't really isolate anything or get rid of anything because they are all different letters. It doesn't give a value for any of the variables? the15thwiseone 1 Posted November 5, 2010 It's not impossible just challenging. *hint plug 1 into one of the varanles on the left side then that will give you 2b<6x plug in varables that meet the criteria=victory fanfare*
RoxAs Is Wise 7 Posted November 5, 2010 It's not impossible just challenging. *hint plug 1 into one of the varanles on the left side then that will give you 2b<6x plug in varables that meet the criteria=victory fanfare* I still don't get it, if b and x are still not known, won't it merely resulted in 4b or 4m? isn't without knowing any of those variable it's actually nonsense to put < there, since b (or m) can be huge and x can be decimal? Seriously either I'm lacking on general knowledge of the question (though I doubt there's that kinda thing here) or I'm too dull for this or this question doesn't make sense (but then why would lexi's teacher giving it)? I am curious now 15th, please explain carefully Thank you
the15thwiseone 1 Posted November 5, 2010 In a standard evaluation problem you evaluate the example... To meat the requirements of this type of question you must use numbers in place of those variables...even if they arn't given... Any number xept 0 of cousre. 1 is probably the best so...its 2*b< 6*x now: this being the case.... we then devide by 2, following the rules of Greater than signs, and thus making it stay the same as... b<3*x This being said...if...b<3x then x and be could be any numbers that meet that requirement. Aaron 579 Posted November 6, 2010 Daniel and I had our one of our final maths exams yesterday. This was the last question on the paper. Bet noone can do it. Daniel thinks he got it right. But i didn't... http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=103928033011372&set=a.103928029678039.5310.103926663011509

Think Pink 1,967 Posted November 6, 2010 @ Aaron My mind hurts. o-o; I had the most epic question as the last one on my math test : If I gave Tyler 16 hams and J.J. three rulers, how many pairs of shoes would Amber have? Amber is the name I go by in school. Half my class got this wronggg. xDDD

I'm taking Chemistry so, if you don't mind... Alright Electron configuration is all those weird numbers with letters & powers in my above post. It's kinda like a "map" where you start from the far top left & keep going right until the next row of elements. Yeah, that made no sense. I stared at my teacher with a blank face when she explained all of that...
Aaron 579 Posted November 6, 2010 Yeah theres only 11 questions. It only a one hour maths exam. But you arent allowed to use calculators or anything. Tech free. And each question has like 2-3 parts so theres really more than 11. Noones done my question yet:) comon guys its easy:P http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=103928033011372&set=a.103928029678039.5310.103926663011509 @Jenny. Chemistry is the worst. I did it last year. Got like 40%. Dropped that class hard.

Aaron 579 Posted November 6, 2010 Its supposed to be Maths Methods. Which is a calculus based course. Ill give you a clue. To solve it you have to use Similar Triangles. Which conveniently our teachers never taught us. Cause well, similar triangles are bullshit.
Think Pink 1,967 Posted November 6, 2010 Has Aaron ever posted this much within a span of an hour before? How do you find the number of electrons in an element? I fail at school. Dx EDIT: @khoathkeeper13 No, you're not solving for anything (I don't think). You're evaluating. asifiknewwhatthatmeant 2.3 is the section of homework. I'm on Chapter 4..ish..I think. xDDD I have a sub, so I have no clue what I'm doing, and the book just confuses me more.
SuperPunk 13 Posted November 6, 2010 The number of protons lol To be stable they have to have no charge. Therefore the number of protons and electrons are the same. Aaron is just wanting help I DONT TAKE CALCULUS SO I CANT ANSWER HIM.
