AwesomeKHfan 1,250 Posted September 18, 2018 How I am a Kingdom Hearts fan if I look up my track record. -I don't like Kingdom Hearts 1 that much but I feel like I'm learning to love that game -Re Chains card system ruins everything for me atleast the story is interesting enough -I don't like the MMO never played it never will -I have only played 358/2 days ones like 10 years ago and eh can't remember much except that I don't like movie version so I read the manga most of the time. -I don't like Dream Drop Distance mostly because of the plot and Gameplay aspects. .... So how am I such a huge fan that sees KH3 as the second coming of our Lord if I have so many issues with it? 7 Tyranto Rex, LeroyMax, RazorDN and 4 others reacted to this

Maybe because you actually like it more than you accept but for some reason you deny it to yourself as if someone or something would make fun of you for saying you do... You can't just be excited and a "fan" of something you don't actually like. You do or you don't, saying otherwise then you're on denial IMO. 1 Movies798 reacted to this

For example I am a huge fan of the series because I do like the narrative and connections made in the story, I like the gameplay mechanics of each game and find the art style really inspiring. As a Disney fan I like to see my beloved movies and characters in another perspective and in a way they allow me to participate in them (through Sora). The music from Shimomura is outstanding to my ears! So... what I mean is that I know why I love the game so far... what about you? What do you love about the series? And if the answer was negative and you actually dislike it... what ties you to it? Is it a memory? Is it just nostalgia? Is it Disney? Is it Square? Just gotta make these points clear to yourself and then accept it... 1 AwesomeKHfan reacted to this

I absolute love the characters and I play the games mostly for the story aspect and of course the characters in general, I love the art style myself to and I wanna give Nomura an award for finding a way to make Sora and co look so normall in every Disney World or wherever they are. Actually Kingdom Hearts introduced me to Disney (well I read through Donald Duck comics as a kid but never watched their movies) and I love what Kingdom Hearts does with the Disney plots because as someone here who doesn't really get in Disney movies (except a few) I appreciate that they still find a way for me to expierence the movies! I like the Final Fantasy Anime aspect to, love the music and honestly I can't describe my love for Kingdom Hearts !

Then you actually have a love for the series, then it's totally normal that you get excited for KHIII. Of course the games are not perfect (nothing in life is) but I for myself focus on the good things rather than the bad. As a gameplay example we have the camera and floaty combat most people talk about. Yeah it's there, yeah it does get in the way sometimes but, why letting that be the darkness that ruins your fun? Instead I learned to ignore it or accept it in order to make my experience enjoyable. Such is the Time-Travel Story segment, of course it came out of nowhere, but it's done, it exists now, why not just go along and see how does it affect in future games? That's how I see it anyways. Hope I have helped you 1 AwesomeKHfan reacted to this
Tyranto Rex 277 Posted September 19, 2018 It's OK to have issues with things you consider yourself a fan of. Heck, I sure do. I have a lot of complaints and I tried the MMO and it got repetitive after awhile so I stopped and deleted it. I don't consider myself less of a fan. It's good to be critical. You stop being a fan if you want to stop being a fan. 1 AwesomeKHfan reacted to this
Lenore_Leonhardt 19 Posted September 19, 2018 Kingdom Hearts has so many installments, it's normal not to like all of them, doesn't mean you're not a real fan. 1 Tyranto Rex reacted to this
Allwil13 754 Posted September 19, 2018 It sounds to me like you enjoy the story, and why shouldn't you? The story is the best part of this series. Each game experiments with its battle system, and as a result everyone has different opinions for each entry in the series. I'm a huge fan of Kingdom Hearts, bu even I have mixed feelings about Coded and Union Cross. If you're super excited about KH3, then that's great. I think you have every right to consider yourself a fan of this series. 1 Tyranto Rex reacted to this
