I really hope Xigbar isn't the ''real'' villian

Recommended Posts

I don't understand that people get hyped of the idea that Xigbar turns out to betray master Xehanort and become the TRUE villian of the franchise because after 16 years fighting Xehanort YEAH I want the last hour be spend on Xigbar explaining how he was the true master mind all along.

I don't mind that Xigbar will have a bigger role in Kingdom Hearts 3 and turn out to be a traitor which could be interesting and there seems to be more going on with him... But there is no force on earth that can make me believe that Xigbar planned it all.

''You see Sora I planned this! I planned that Xehanort would plan all of this, I planned that he planned to put his heart in Terra which led to your world eventually getting swallowed by the darkness which of course was my doing even though I wasn't there in KH1 but wait (shows ''Remastered'' scene of KH1 that he was always there), I planned that Aqua will go to the realm of Darkness. And you know the best part is Xehanort didn't suspect a thing! even when Terra shot his dark energy beam at my eye I found a way around it! I knew that Xehanort would time travel BECAUSE I gave him the information long ago I was also the one behind the first Keyblade War! I knew everything that was gonna happen and the best part is... I was almost never there!''

And than he goes on for 15 hours blablabla.

I don't mind the idea that Xigbar has a bigger role and that he will betray Xehanort but it bothers me that people think that making him the main villian plot twist is a good idea. Xehanort had to fight us multiple times he had to do all the hard work but Xigbar comes just walking in with Keyblade in hand giving us a exposition scene on how everything actually works? no just no... Do people wanna see that Xehanort's plan failling or to show that he isn't perfect well guess what he had to adjust his plans and move down the list for his wielders.

But he maybe Nomura can do it right but I really doubt that.

That's almost as bad as the nine year gap between KH and BBS. What was Xemnas and the Organization doing for that long?

Founding the Organization and looking for other members. Remember that flashback in KH2? Xigbar mentioned that he just recently found Marluxia in it.

I think people really like his personality, so they want him to have a bigger role then before. Which I am OK with cause he is one of my favorite Organization members, but yeah if they recon the whole thing to make him the real mastermind would make me quite angry, but it also would not surprise me if they ended up doing this sadly enough.

Now I think a better plot twist is that everyone on the organization ends up betraying Xehanort do to everyone have ulterior motives, and it ends up that the new organization is really not as organized as thought. Then you fight off a bunch of dummies that are trying to accomplish everything by themselves.  :P

But his role in the franchise has skyrocketed ever since KH2. In that game he was just another Organization XIII henchmen but after BbS and KH3D his role has been greatly expanded I'd say.

I could see Braig/Xigbar betraying Xehanort, but I think if they went that route he wouldn't succeed. I feel like it would just blow up in his face and he would fail to take over. So I don't think he will become the main villain of the game, but I could certainly understand it if he turned out to betray Xehanort. It seems to suit his character.

I don't think we know for sure who is going to betray who, but we do know that there is going to be an inevitable betrayal thanks to what was revealed in Back Cover.  To me, it makes the most sense for Xigbar to betray Xehanort since he has thought that Xehanort has been hiding something since before the original Organization XIII was completely formed.  However, just because there will be a betrayal doesn't mean that person will end up becoming the main villain.  It could mean that, but it doesn't necessarily mean that.  I personally don't think that the betrayer will end up replacing Xehanort as the main villain (why would Xehanort not end up being the main villain of the Xehanort Saga?), but he might.  I guess we will just have to wait and see.
